if you change folder in you install on the new version bluestack maybe change localfile to target bluestack.conf .anywhere,for me i'm change to drive e:program file(64) and then when i'm click in folder file are have 2 folder in bluestack5 (bluestack_x , bluestack_nxt) if you click bluestack_nxt will have bluestack.conf

delete and reinstall maybe
Maybe you did the wrong mistake as me and looked into a wrong folder (There are 2 different BlueStacks_nxt folders in different folders)
