Wow, they did a really good job at rendering the main character. Especially the hair: Long hair always seems to be tricky to render in a way that looks good. I really hope they keep developing the game, because it looks amazing!
I can kind of tell where this wanted to go, but it didn't do much to attain it. The story was the bad kind of vague where the backstory had no meaning and felt no connection to the little girl's plight. Hopefully they can revisit this and expand on it because it has a nice look and it's refreshing to see a horror game show the character.
Not to sound negative but they were many games that have so much potential but never went far I just hope the developers keep develop it further don't give up.

That's always the case. I won't be surprised if this game goes from AWESOME to mundane if they are financed by stock holders etc....they always pressure the game developers to hurry the games Launch, but luckily they're an indi game company.

I do love the 3rd person view. The looking behind you has so much potential to give a good scare!
But you can use over shoulder view when your character is facing the wall therefore unrealistic
The atmosphere is good and the animation of the little girl is well rendered. I like when she bites her lips. Well done ! The intro music is really eerie and enjoyable to listen.

I found the horror of this game was much more effective before the ghost appeared.
Plot twist, the girl is the ghost. She dies from the cold after she couldn't figure out how to use a blanket.😑
The intro of the story have beautiful atmosphere soundtrack 💕❤️
The model of the main character and particularly all the small details in her animations shows some real talent is at work here. I wondered if some mo-cap was involved.

The animation was all done by hand. No mo-cap. There's a 14 min. video where the developer talks about the development of the game and how it works including the game's environment, the girl, and the music. Unfortunately he said the game will most likely never be completed because he made mistakes trying to get it funded but he said he's grateful for what he learned developing it.
@@Avirx Thanks! I just watched that video. That's a shame to hear. Hopefully, he'll re-consider pursuing this project if not now then in future. It's evident he's got some serious modeling and animation skills.

Although the game wasn't as scary as I expected it to be... But it definitely deserves an award for providing a very silent atmosphere. The game was a bit unique compared to most horror game copycats these days. By the way, you've mistaken it's genre. It's not a psychological horror game, rather it falls under pure survival horror category considering the apparition attacks you and you have a health bar which if it reaches zero you would die. In psychological horror games however, there is literally no option for you to die and there are tons of jumpscares for you to spook out only. A survival horror game can have jumpscares included but is still not considered as a psychological horror game

It's funny that you came here when you can't even differentiate between a game mechanics & features 😂 and yes, game features DOES determine it's genre. A genre is just a categorical term to determine what a game or movie falls under based on the elements it consists. Horror is the genre and psychological / survival are the sub genre prior to the main genre with the elements working for it. And what you mentioned in your last sentence is just exactly what I already covered above, dude. Except that you've no idea of what you're even trying to prove here. Psychology and survival horror look a lot similar, but they don't function the same way. Like I said, a survival horror may have psychological elements but in the end it's still true to it's survival horror sub genre due to the fact you're trying to save your @ss out there from something. On the contrary, a psychological horror cannot have survival horror elements because they were just designed differently with no health and with tons of jumpscares while trying to solve clues & puzzles relating to the case. Try Wire Lips, Silence Channel, P. T etc. and enlighten yourself. Those are pure psychological horror games. And as for survival horror games, Amnesia and at least 75% of total number of horror games belong to this sub genre, needless to provide any examples for it

Resident evil = survival horror
yeah no. Death can be a part of a psychological horror game, they're not walking simulators. Psychological horror is often defined by the absence of combat, yes, but often you can still die, you just cannot fight.

Wow. This has a Lead Church feel to it. There's a brownish thick vibe in the environment. I can hear voices on the PR system: "We are from Lead Church. 艾瑪哪？我們是來抓他的！" Notice that the Emma doll is shifting, physical bonds were breaking for it. It's coming after the blond doll to eat it so Emma can maintain its bonds to this world.
Everyone on Steam gave this positive thumbs up but then bashed on how bad it was. Seriously make up your minds, people.
Sometimes people are just jealous. I think this is good. Never had seen one indie game like it (I probably missed it, though).
@@amandamol9050 I've seen a few like this. But this game is just you walking around, finding keys and getting scared by the ghost. There's no actual gameplay. You probably would get desensitized by all the scares since there's no actual death involved

Is a great game that was a great potential to be much more. But is cool.
The game has/had a lot of promise so far, but the ending was rather abrupt and anti-climactic. It feels more like a demo for a game than a full game in itself. It would be nice to see it fleshed out further, but maybe it was just a random little project for the dev(s) to try their hand at something small to get a feel for it? Either way I would have liked to have seen more and to have a slightly more impactful ending, be it good or bad.
This game is actually a prototype, so they're going to be expanding and improving upon it as time goes on.
I hope some other UA-camrs check this game out!

The brightness is not set correctly. I had the same picture on the first try then went to options to adjust it as recommended.
