31. Dover, England - White Cliffs, Dover Castle, Secret Wartime Tunnels & Canterbury(Sept. 18, 2023)

The majesty and history of the White Cliffs of Dover; a tour of Dover Castle and the multi-sensory tour of underground tunnels constructed during the Napoleonic Wars and expanded during WWII to direct sea and air operations; Canterbury and the Cathedral which was the murder site of the Archbishop Thomas á Becket.

We love watching the videos in preparation for our Viking Ocean Cruise to the British Isles in June. It’s been interesting to see the upcoming sites and the types of clothing you wear with regard to layers and warmth. Suggest that you post/mention the time of year for each of your travels. That would be very helpful in deciding what to pack for the trip. Again, thank you for the well done travel videos. We appreciate the quality of the videos as well as the detail, including short captions to identify sites. A little humor is also welcomed. Take care.

Sorry, I just saw this. Thank you for your kind words. I think that is the nicest review I have ever read. It takes so much time to put the videos together that I really appreciate that you enjoyed them and that they were helpful.
Our cruise started in Greenwich mid-September last year (2023). I definitely should put the month.
We spent 10 days in London (5 on pre with Viking - "Churchill's England). When the cruise ended in Bergen, we flew back to London for a couple of more days before flying home. I t was so hot in London at the beginning of our trip, I was wearing my short-sleeved tops that I had brought to workout in while onboard the ship. Layers are definitely the key. We were blessed to have wonderful, temperate weather and very little rain.I would be happy to answer any other questions that you may have.
