I feel like the difference here has a lot less to do with autotune than the reverb, back-up vocals, and such.

I'd like to hear him use his real voice in the context of the songs. It may work fine. Not all of our favorite singers have actually been good singers, but their songs work, shit vocals and all.
The real problem comes with over producing clips of a handful of instruments playing the same goddamn simple progression for four minutes. How about real musicians, instead of technically perfect sound bites recycled over and over.
Isolate Jimi or Willie--it's like cats fucking in a busted HVAC unit while you're smoking grass on the rooftop during your lunch break, not that I know about that

I really can't stand autotune - to me it really can ruin music. I would love to hear him without it and have full instrumental. I think he has a great voice, let us hear it on the albums!

Autotune is working wonders for this mediocre vocalist. His songs are pretty good, but he wouldn't have gained any traction without and autotune-crutch. Lil Nas X is a way better singer
