Have you ever taken the lululemon to their trade in program? Not the bras but they should take the other stuff. Then you could get some mens to sell on your own.
There is a lululemon near me and I have a few pieces that I’ve been hoarding for a minute, so I’m gonna try this out myself and I’ll tell you about it once I do. If they do give the dollar amounts I’m seeing online, and if they accept things that aren’t EUC then this could become a whole income stream through scooping lululemon at the bins and taking it right to lulu (of course with exceptions for certain pieces)
We have a Costco membership too. Since it's just my husband and I, I don't feel like we buy all that much. We don't have room to store lots of food either. However, I ALWAYS buy gas there. Luckily the store is extremely close to my house.
Hello! I agree that at least for my local Plato’s the payout is the same. I gave them a nwt Los Gatos vest and they took it but gave me the same amount as they did with a used north face vest. I have noticed they’re more likely to take my nwt items though - they took every nwt urban outfitters aerie and Abercrombie items I gave them but none that were not new
@ personally I list everything first and stuff that sits forever and doesn’t sell I take to Plato’s and I’ve been doing that like once a week. Because I get all my stuff from the bins it works for me, this last trip I sold them some nwt American eagle and aerie pieces I got for less than a dollar each and they gave me $6-10 for them. I had them listed / some sold anywhere from $15-25 after a pretty long time and what didn’t I took there. So yeah there’s higher profit but from now on nwt mall brand stuff I think I’m just going to give to Plato’s. My time is valuable too and taking pictures making a listing takes time, but I’m also trying to focus on higher dollar items and have a lot of mall brand nwt pieces from when I first started like 1-2 years ago
I am happy for you Megan. I got 64 dollars from platos yesterday but I got $99.50 from once upon a child and I was extremely happy with the total of both payouts.
WOW!! Nearly $100 from OUAC is fantastic! Makes me want to give them a try, I have not been there in years. If you don't mind me asking, did you sell clothing or toys/hard goods or a mix of both? that's also a great Plato's payout too!!!♻️✨
Because platos and once upon a child is a 20 minute drive I do both in same day to counter the fact I don't know what I am going to get and considering gas money. I have gotten $4.80 at platos before. This trip was all clothes and some Halloweencostumes.I had some books but they said they weren't taking books because they were overstocked.I do bring toys when I have them. Today I got $42.00 from platos and $72.00 from once upon a child. It's a crapshoot both places but I prefer the quick turnaround compered to ebay. Plus I drop off clothes at 2 consignment shops.I tried the threadup but still waiting for my stuff to get listed there.I didn't know they didn't accept certain brands until my boxes were shipped. I shipped 4 30 pound boxes.Love your chanel.Keep up the good work.
I am going to a different once upon a child location tomorrow with the stuff they didn't take today and I have a little bit of fresh items.I am taking different stuff to the platos near this once upon a child because they accept totally different brands crazily enough.
hi! for the most part; yes! there are occasions where I'll try items again at platos (go a different time / day of the week and hope for a different buyer / need for their inventory). also I will occasionally list things myself. But for the most part they go to ThredUp!
Several reasons, the top 3 I can think of being: 1. fast cash, much rather take a fast $5 than a slow $10 for the items I bring to plato's, especially since I am sourcing them FOR plato's closet, my COG is $1.69/lb. 2. offsetting the cost of inventory that I am going to list myself 3. I don't have time to list every item I source from the bins, as it is just me, and platos helps to keeps the cash flow, flowing! if plato's passes on the items, they make their way to ThredUp.
💲💰much better this time….i try to guess as I’m watching what they take and I’m getting pretty good at it. I however don’t have any consignment stores nearby so it’s a skill I can’t put to use.😃
Overall how often do you ‘cover’ it with Plato? I’m considering trying but my Plato’s is like 40 miles in the opposite direction so it’s a commitment lol
This was one trip, but it all varies! Sometimes, I find 1 item for platos, and the rest is for me to list. Sometimes, I find next to nothing to list and a bunch for platos. Sometimes, it's pretty even! That's why I like being able to "shop" for both at the bins.
Why are they hating on 7/8 length leggings?? Being a short girlie, 5’3, I ONLY buy that length because I like them to hit right above my ankle. I guess I will never buy legging at Plato’s🤣❤️
My best guess is they don't sell as well, but your absolutely right - I'd market all the 7/8 length as Petite and put time in a section together in the store. Perhaps corporate said they are a no-no?! But a total loss for them, ThredUp gives great payouts for LuLu and Athleta, even much much older styles! Thank you so much for watching 🫶💖
That was an awesome Plato’s trip! Great job👏
Thanks so much! it was a great plato's run!!!!!
You took amazing stuff! I am going next weekend to clothes mentor and your video gave me inspiration to work on my tub!
So glad it was helpful!!! You are going to do great! ♻️💖
Good job on that haul! It’s fun to see them take a lot after a couple of videos where they were more selective. 🎉
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING ♻️🤞
I done my 1st Plato sell! They bought 11 items! I’m hoping to do another this week! I wish I had a bins closer to me so I could do it more often
That is so awesome! ♻️

I’ve never thought of this. Can you give more detail?
Ohhhhh! No! I have never done that!!! Do you have any experience?!

@ediewolff3764 WONDERFUL!!! YES, Please do let me know how it goes!!! 🤞
Can’t wait to try this…just haven’t had time to gout yet

Ohhhh! I just noticed they opened the gas up finally last time I went! Is it significantly cheaper?! Thanks for the tip!
I enjoyed your video today. I like to buy avocados 🥑 and lemons 🍋 from Costco. If you keep them in the same crisper drawer they will last a long time.
Great costco tip!! Thank you!
I always go early on Monday morning. Not a lot of people 👍
GREAT tip, totally agree! I love going 1st thing in the mornings!

hi!!! EXACTLY! I totally agree, much more likely to but it in, but the payout isn't much higher, perhaps not different at all!
So wouldn’t it be better to list the nwt stuff yourself to try to get a better price?

Anyway I commented because I didn't know you knew about Once upon a child but you did.
Do you send everything that Plato’s doesn’t take to Thread Up?

If I may ask, why do you take things to Plato’s instead of listing yourself? Especially the easy stuff like Levi’s?

1. fast cash, much rather take a fast $5 than a slow $10 for the items I bring to plato's, especially since I am sourcing them FOR plato's closet, my COG is $1.69/lb.

Overall how often do you ‘cover’ it with Plato?
I’m considering trying but my Plato’s is like 40 miles in the opposite direction so it’s a commitment lol
More often than not, however if my platos was that far I'm not sure I'd go, tbh!!!!! Unless I could make a day of it somehow!

Is this what you picked up in one day at Bins ? Or an accumulation of several trips?

Yes! I love my aerie shorter length leggings! I am 5 feet even lol
Do you ever source items for Clothes Mentor?
I use to, but our local CM closed down around 2021, don't think they ever recovered from when the world shut down and just never reopened...
I always bring 50+ items to plato's and they only buy like 5😑 and i bring nice items too... i just feel like their demand is so low
That's likely it, their inventory is full and it's got nothing to do with the quality of things you are trying to sell them
