  • Livestock has long been a central pillar of Botswana's economy but months without rain have left little grass in the country's pastures. Our reporter Daniel Plafker visited a feedlot in the town of Lobatse to learn how enterprising herders are finding ways to persevere and how the landlocked country's soon-to-be-privatized beef export monopoly is eyeing Asian markets in a bid to diversify.

    why dont they use an irrigation system to replenish the environment ?? Maybe some other farmers from nearby South Africa can help , as they have alot of large scale agriculture going on , and there methods are more modernized
