"He couldn't teach me how to solve a math problem, but he taught me how to work". We look for inspiration from pro athletes and celebrities often forgetting to look to those closest to us. I love your videos.
This one hits home real good, I used to work construction with my tio, I wouldn't do much other than put up dry wall and cut boards but all of that time that was spent working with him showed me what real strength and hard work is.
Wow, this made me smile. I too worked in construction with my dad. We did insulation and scaffolding for chemical plants. I learned to really appreciate the work and men and women doing it. I’m first generation student studying physics. I hope to work one last time this summer to help pay off my final semester.
WOW! What a message! It reminded me of your first video, when you showed us your watch and said that hard work is a choice! Thanks for sharing with us! Cheers from Brazil!
Waited for just the right moment to watch your latest video. It is now 9am and I am sitting on the couch reflecting on my own experiences with my father with water in my eyes. Excellent video.
As a subscriber from almost from the beginning of this channel, I thought I was gonna watch some videos about a guy who is doing math&physics. However, the vids are getting more and more like things you should watch before going to the gym. Even though I appreciate the quality of the sound, the tone of your voice and the shoots, just want to say that my expectations on content was so much different than what it is now.
This is the first time for me to watch a UA-camr's videos this much consistently.......I CRIED, JOYED, FELT - I'm wasting my time doing nothing..... thanks for the reminder
I wanna be a physicist and study at harvard as physics major. I wanna study bachelors and phd at harvard. Whenever i feel demotivate i watch your videos
Please forgive me if I misunderstood something, but I watched your another video in which you said that you buy a watch ( which I presume cost a lot) from your construction days money. But here is the truth brother people work this jobs for providing for their family not for buying something expensive in my country at least (India), that's the real struggle bro. You live in one of the most developed country in the world, so I did not expect you to understand, but also cant resist my self for writing this comment. I was also working as consultant in a very small company which gives me about $200 dollar monthly as a mechanical engineer. I also have done my undergrad from prestigious college in my country, but what to do. I will say no more. BTW great videos.
it has become a tradition to watch one of these right before i sit to study
I'm honored to be a part of the tradition!
OMG SAME
i could see that.
me too, it's like ritual to me.

your storytelling is very simple in its form but so complex in its meaning, it really hits home and its incredible to listen to

What happen with your face? Why you never show your face to us?
Just understand that your entire being rests in two institutions:
1. Harvard
2. UA-cam
Be free
Why don’t you show your face?
