It's amazing how much care you take administering a medicament, i can't even imagine how much time you take only preparing medicine, i say it because im a nurse in Mexico and well in first place we dont have the material to waste and be changing gloves, needles and syringes everytime we prepare or administer different medicines, it really does amaze me how you work, in a good way seeing how much care you take preparing one single medicine but at the same time idk how you have so much time to prepare a medicine haha, i know its a instructional video but i couldn't take 5 minutes in one medicine i would take hours preparing medicine for all my pacients if i did that haha, i would love to see how a workday is for you nurses in first world country, keep it up and take care. :)
@@td7723 It's not that bad well at least where i worked, its more like he changed like 3 syringes preparing one med, and we only use one in a med, and in some extreme cases that myself havent done, i heard that they had to share syringes for meds but not for different pacients. I really have no idea how it is in Mexico City but i can only guess its better because a lot of nurses go to study there for a speciality and things like that. Any more doubts feel free to ask. Have a good day. (Sorry for my bad english)
So funny to see how it should be done😂. I once worked at a hospital voluntarily and not a single step mattered to the people there (and I live in Germany, where everybody's proud of the health care system)😆.
I am going to have to get a cycle for UTI in a third world country and I am a bit paranoid... is the 5-minute administration a standard? I've read up on it and found references for 15-30 min when its IV and 5 min for IM. You said 5 here through IV so is that safe?
Never mix with gloves. Try to minimize use of gloves. Healthcare professionals also need to think of environmental implication with the use of gloves. As nurses we were taught these gloves as ppe. Personal Protective equipment. Who are you protecting against mixing while wearing the ppe? No one! Clean your hands and mix them in sterile technique WITHOUT gloves is very possible.
In a fast paced hospital with non stop patient admissions person following such a lengthy protocol would be called a moron and called out for being slow and nerdy.
With 50 pacients, sure you can finish your treatment in 2years using this tutorial!

No Need for ANST?
Don’t we flush the IV line with normal saline to check for patency? I guess some hospitals have different policies
I was taught to flush before and after

You're clearly not very bright. It's PERSONAL protective equipment, it's to protect YOU while mixing drugs. Fake nurse.
