For those wondering how the Avatar of Khaine's shooting works he is literally throwing his weapon and it comes back. I read it in that one story where it killed a mountain of Tyranids.
Wasn't that the case where the Eldar where forced back, abandoning their Avatar in the process. And when they returned they spotted a mountain of dead Nids, which then erupted as the Avatar buried under it(which it did so it could hide itself) rejoined the fray.
I love the cinemtic value of calling out to the community for a donated army just as the deathwatch are effectively "donated" in their recruitment from the various chapters. It was pretty cool.
I don't know. I thought they weren't allowed to be reinforced due to their penance crusade. At one point they had under 50 Marines or something & were last heard fighting a Hive Fleet, sooooooo

I'd love to see Tak go re-evaluate his options (so many cool models to choose from!), and win round 2, he played amazing and everyone knows DW is sub-standard at the moment but this is a great time to experiment (was nice to see that here)! Great game... and what beautiful custom work on that Watch Master! Way to pull out the 'V' at the end Nick, that was a solid Aeldari showing, hope to see more Aeldari in the future... was a brawl.
Very awesome battle. My buddy just got me hooked on war hammer and I’ve chosen the Aeldari as my race. I just got my first figures and started putting them together before work today lol. I love these battles but I can’t find many of them on Arldari. This one was fantastic and very very close.
Wow I just realized how easily you could use fake aquarium foliage for a really immersive natural landscape type battlefield. You could get all alien with it with all the neons and glow in the darks too. And they're really cheap. That's cool.
Hard to tell from the game play and dice rolls, did Dak ever remember to reroll 1's to wound vs the unit types he chose for the Xenos Hunters Chapter Tactic and the Aquila specialism. Also hard to tell if he remembered that vs. Elites (Dominatus specialism) and vs Troops (Furor specialism). He shot the Wraithguard plenty, so that should have at least applied the Dominatus specialism for that one Proteus Kill Team correct?
Nick, you had a lot of cp, should've used lightning fast reactions. I love to see a wraith heavy list :) I don't run many in my ulthwe, but they are super cool

I love the look and theme of the Playon Deathwatch army! ... I just wish that the Deathwatch was a little more powerful. :-/ It's weird that Tak started out so commanding, and Nick got such a high score.
He offered a prayer to the God Emperor in an Astra Militarum game and the prayer was answered, and he offered up the T'au in exchange for a specific result. It is a joke though and he will get back to T'au soon.
The Dscythe weapon has the "blast" keyword and "blast" by RAW rules cannot be shot in engagement so this is how we played it in this game. I think the "Construct" rule may be for the other weapon load out though it does seem a little strange.
Guys is it just the way you’re sitting it here but the D-Scythes look like they’re auto hitting like flamers (Nick calls them that haha) but they still need a hit roll?
I still find it ironic that the Black Templar won against the Eldar, but the Deathwatch Ordo Xenos specialist themselves lost. Still what a great game to watch.

We often cannot show or keep all the declarations in about rerolls though yes, Tak did remember and was rerolling everything that was eligible.
