- For years SpongeBob has won the KCA's every year. It has won the most out of any show and has angered fans of other cartoons like Adventure time, Phineas and Ferb, and Gravity Falls. How could it win against all these shows that have many fans while SpongeBob isn't as liked as it once was. I look at the Nomination history and it's cartoons and TV Shows to see if there's a bias.

I think the KCA Fav. Animated TV Show is rigged. It seems proof enough in the past years. If a Nick cartoon had reached a high point then it'll win till that series ENDS. In Spongebob's case, sure it's popular and has a lot of fans so it would win. However, to find it ALWAYS winning is admittedly strange (Especially against GOOD cartoons like Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, or The Amazing World of Gumball). It could be loyal fans voting for it a lot. But wouldn't they too be just really tired of Spongebob winning at this point? Heck, TTG could've won (God forbid it from happening!!) because it's a stupid show that many, many young kids watch and is oversaturated on CN, but Spongebob still won over even that? It's very weird.
So, highly likely could that one category be rigged. It might be so Spongebob stays popular and they have a reason to continue it. Idk what the real reason is but something OTHER THAN Spongebob should win. I'll take my SU or Gumball or Adventure Time, just Spongebob stop winning and stop getting NOMINATED SO MANY DANG TIMES. The KCA's are rigged. This year Spongebob won best cartoon again because it is their biggest cartoon cash cow. Jojo Siwa won favorite internet star because she signed a deal earlier this year with Nickelodeon to sell merchandise and cd's much like they did with Victoria Justice. Henry Danger won favorite kids tv show because Nickelodeon loves this show and uses Jace Norman to promote their channel and sell merchandise. Jace Norman won favorite male actor because of the same reason, IN FACT the Phinenas and Ferb wiki discovered that Phineas and Ferb was supposed to have 3x more votes than Spongebob in the 2014 KCA's but Nickelodeon maniulapated the votes by using computer programing called Bots. They used the bots to vote for Spongebob over and over again faster than any human can ever do. Since the KCA's allow annomyus voting there is no way to stop this. Nickelodeon is doing this to earn them more money. Same reason why Just Dance keeps winning despite competing against Mario games and trust me I hear other kids talking more about Mario and I agree. Mario is a fun series of timeless games but it keeps losing to Just Dance. I think its because Nickelodeon wants to promote the stars in the games and sell merchandise Again.

This entire nomination is bullshit. Courage The Cowardly Dog came in 1996 and was a masterpiece and didn't get nominated. Animaniacs NOT winning over DOUG! That is fucking cheating like hell that show sucked as and was slow, dull, boring and retarded and Animaniacs was Leonardo Da Vinci of clever writing and comedy and it got a spinoff of an equally popular and great series but doug got nothing so it didn't deserve to be nominated. And an old show about babies in an ugly art style winning over one of the most popular franchises in the world is bullshit. It's like if Dust An Elysian Tail, Ori And The Blind Forest and Hotizon Zero Dawn got nominated and Until Dawn won for 4 years straight. It wasn't a good game to be nominated and it wouldn't deserve so many awards compared to the real emotional and amazing games like Ori And The Blind Forest.

It's extremely rigged I figured that out a long time ago (Can't remember which year.) But you had Pokemon, Rugrats, Simpsons, and Catdog. (It was around the height of the Pokemon craze.) Rugrats won. Not long afterward the shit Spongebob video games won Every single year. Next you had Big Time Rush winning favorite band over Lady Antebellum, LMFAO, and The Black Eyed Peas. Then you get Amanda Bynes beating Jennifer Love -Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Geller, Brandy Norwood, Mellisa Joan Hart, Jennifer Aniston, and Hillary Duff for the Amanda Show. It's just a way for Nick to push their own shows.

Such good memories.One fine day in 2012 me and my borther were playing and being all dumb and watching nickelodeon until something called Kids Choice awards came on and my stupid 5-6 year olf self saw Adam Sandler for the first time and was convinced he looked like John Cena and I got overly exited to see something about Phineas and ferb even though a barley knew what was going on
It was so much better when anyone could vote cause the shows had quality in the majority. Today it's a select few but most is garbage. If we had a gravity Falls and Over The Garden Wall every year or so then we would have consistent good quality.

Based on the favorite cartoon cat, it does seem HIGHLY rigged, that or kids really love nick cartoons. I can understand a few choices since during those years I probably would have voted similarly for the winning choices or did. While I loved Pokemon in the 90s/2000s, I can see why Rugrats would have won. I think around that time frame Rugrats had its 1st movie in theaters or something like that which would have swung the vote that way. Then again, Pokemon had Pokemon 2000s...so....idk. I can understand the first few years of Spongebob as the series was really popular before the movie. After the movie, I'm not sure why Spongebob kept on winning. Unless re-runs played in the factor of the votes. The ONLY non-nick show to win was Simpsons which even then was still owned by Fox. So I don't see how Spongebob keeps winning, considering some of the nominations listed and considering how popular those shows are. Heck, I'm even shocked MLP wasn't even nominated considering how popular it was and still kind of is.
To say the awards are rigged is hard to say, but it does seem like that since just about every show in the cartoon cat that has won is Nick shows (unless you want to count the odd time where Doug went to Disney). Either kids are addicted to Spongebob and have been or Nick tries to play it so their shows will always win. You could argue with the Teen Choice Awards too I guess, even though I don't watch that either.
