Yep. I immigrated into the US the LEGAL way. I can speak from personal experience that there is NO GOOD REASON at all for anyone to skirt the laws.
Citizens born here have no idea what that process is like. It is difficult for a reason.
You MUST screen people coming in. You do not know what their intentions are and presuming that they are inherently good as your starting position is incredibly naive and dangerous.
There are existing processes for all kinds of circumstances including asylum and refugees. There is no good argument NOT to use the processes in place.
American born citizens who argue in favor of unscreen, unvetted entrants into the country are uneducated on the process and more importantly the consequences.
Once these people are in the country, they disappear. You cannot find them again.

I’m so thankful that the audience members brought up immigration. I was in immigration jail in Mexico during the Trump border shutdown. I was deported and banned for a year. I still believe that we need to stop the insanity at the border- I would never overstay my visa again. There IS a legal way to do it, and it often takes many years- but it CAN be done.
What we CAN’T afford is the open border craziness. Think about how many terrorist cells could be set up all over our country by now…

Respectfully, if people are still undecided who do vote for they are uninformed, and maybe should not be voting. You either vote for someone that understands the economy and how the world works, are you vote for a politician that tells you what you want to hear, even though it’s probably not true.
and yes, it was a more civil debate than others I have seen in the past, and while Vance definitely showed his communication chops, numbers and comments that made sense I can also see why people like Walz. He comes across as just an average guy, doing what he thinks is right, but we all know what he has done is not right.
And people don’t understand, what the federal government does trickles down to state and local governments. If it cost money across-the-board to put fuel in your car for whatever reason, it’s also going to cost the city, state and federal government more money to do business. Energy costs are the number one mover and indicator of the vast majority of problems we are experiencing at the moment. I also don’t understand how people think they are better off than they were four years ago, but expenses are considerably higher across the board. Many are right when they say it’s up to you and not the government, but when government has horrible policies, that unfortunately affects everybody more so Then they think, until they start seeing the bill at the gas pump, grocery store, or even a parts store.
In the last few minutes of this, should speak volumes to anybody that watches this. The leftists that get on here and do nothing but talking about media talking points, and what is an is not happening at the border should tell you all you need to know. It’s astounding to me that people actually still consume the garbage that main stream media puts out. It’s really sad people can be swayed so easily, and it’s actually very dangerous as well

Personally I think A LOT of our issues have to do with our food. The food is changing us. Our mental health is affected by it. Our health is affected by it. We have to fix the food! That will help our kids and their mental health. Which will help with the mass shootings. It didn’t use to be an issue bc our food was better. Our children’s hormones are being affected, their dna is being affected. Our kids will grow to be adults. And sick adults. We already have a generation or two of mass illness. If we can fix the food I think a lot of our issues will eventually fix themselves. Obviously not our corrupt government and politicians and corporations. That’s a different issue. But in fixing the food I believe we have to fix the corruption. Big pharma, big AG, big oil, big tech, they ALL circle back to corrupting our food. They all gain from it. We need to go back to the 80s before everything was mass made. Before everything was so expensive both parents had to work. Let a parent stay home to take care of their kids. To make homemade meals. To grow a garden and provide fresh food. It would bring Americans back to who we used to be and bring America back to what it used to be.

I did have to laugh when the aggressive, young man know it all got "woke" by the two well spoken gentleman that actually have first hand experience at the border and were explaining how bad it was. Then he reverted by stuttering "Oh, I at any point was not saying I believe in a fully open border". Well then what were you saying when you quoted Harris's line "no one is illegal"? That seems to indicate that you agree with a fully open border....but maybe now you want a "half open border"?. Sometimes I hear this nonsense and it's scary that some people do have the privilege of voting.

My family owns 6 semi trucks and in 2022, we had to take 4 of the 6 trucks off the road bc we were paying out of pocket for the fuel. We went from having more than enough money in our bank accounts to practically retire and live very comfortable in the next 15yrs (we’re 43 yrs old) but now we’re living load to load aka paycheck to paycheck, our credit cards are almost maxed out and we even had to dip into our sons collage fund! This can’t happen anymore.. I want to be able to live worry/stress free when it comes to being able to run our company to the fullest!!

I'm more worried about the safety of our country , were leaning towards WWIII , our citizens need assistance with the weather issues , for example, the carolinas , georgia , florida, etc. , were taking care of the illegal immigrants instead of our citizens , i will not tolerate this anymore i could go on but we all know , just take a good long look at yourself in the mirror , do you love your country or not and who's more qualified to stand up to the task , TRUMP/VANCE OR CACKLE/WALZ !!!!!

I am not an intellectual , but may present a different approach to the talk of the United States citizens economic difficulties and every that comes with it; ie stress, broken marriages, etc? I’m almost 60 years old. When I was a kid it only took one income to raise a family. Most often the father worked and mother stayed home and all that. This was portrayed on most of the tv shows of the time, so I assume that is how it was across the majority of the country. Here’s my point. Don’t get me wrong, I believe capitalism is the best economic system in the world. But in my opinion corporate America has brought a lot of these problems on; not intentionally but nevertheless. In the constant challenge to increase profits year after year and to make the shareholders happy we’ve all been targeted to be constant consumers. We are never content with what we have, it’s never enough. Soooo, we got addicted to wanting more and more things and everything kept going up in price because we are addicted and agree to pay the price at any cost. Then one income wasn’t enough anymore. Now both parents work, hence two car payments instead of one and all the other costs of car ownership. Since no parents are home, the daycare industry was born. Now kids are raised by strangers. It’s no wonder society has gone to crap with the destruction of the family. I could go on and on and on. But why don’t our leaders even talk about this root cause of a lot of our problems? May I suggest that most of them do not recognize it because it is not in their or corporate America’s best interest of more more more! It’s never enough! They will gladly stand by and watch the continual destruction of the American family. It’s insanity! We’ve been divided in the constant pursuit of more things at the cost of quality of life. The family must be restored or our nations so sovereignty will be lost and we’ll be just like a social European nation and American will be a memory. What happened to Rome?

Agree, but I think that government ruined "free" capitalism. Free capitalism opens up competition. When one company begins making a lot of money in an industry, it invites competitors who can do that too or better, which balances out control and monopoly. But now, government regulates capitalism, is why so many big corporations have lobbyists, why many senators & congress have "stock picks" making tons of money, Boeing moving their corporate headquarters closer to DC, etc. and their planes are starting to fall apart. Regulation and government controls is communism or socialism which is where we are already. Look at all the MSM talking points are nearly exactly each day as the press secretary. So they want to keep that power in their hands and use social media, social differences, climate change, feelings to divide us, divide families. It's not value and principle driven as was our founding fathers. It's like you said, externally driven by status, property, reputation, wealth, feelings all weak and without reason or wisdom. The antonym to diversity is unity. United States of America, United we stand divided we fall.

I’m struggling to pay for my wife and children. Why should my tax money go to somebody who doesn’t pay into the system like everybody else? legal immigration is difficult for a reason if everyone could come here freely, this country would no longer be free. I would argue that our kids should take the immigration test to be able to graduate. Yes, things need to be fixed within that process. Getting rid of it completely has been done throughout history and we know why that’s a bad idea. If your house is burning down, you don’t take on roommates!!
