- This is the battle theme that plays during the battle between Kirby and Marx in Kirby Superstar for Super Nintendo! Lots of fun time signature changes in this one which is arranged for 5 cellos, timpani and snare drum. This was a request via comment! Unfortunately I can't seem to find the comment anymore to give credit where its due, so if it was you who recommended I do this tune please let me know in the comments! Thanks again to Celeb Conner for performing these tricky percussion parts!

Honestly, among every cover of this track that I've heard, including official remixes, this is one of the few that I feel really captures that really unique vibe of the original track.
What a great cover!!! Nailed the percussion and cello! It sounds 1 to 1 to the in-game version (actually, this one is way better in my opinion haha) and if Im not wrong, Marx's Theme has some interesting time signatures... so... WOW
Some Kirby songs have crazy tempos, but it would be great to see more Kirby covers in the future!

This is the best Marx remix I could find. It perfectly encapsulates Marx's unstable mind with that twinge of the Cello. This is what I what the Marx fight to be like, a chaotic mess of a battle that has a strange beauty to its insanity.

Oh, MAN. I cannot count the number of times my brothers and I played/beat this game when we were kids. Dozens, at least, and I haven't heard this song in DECADES- yet I am immediately brought back to the HIGH TENSION SITUATION of beating Marx! This is SUCH an epic arrangement, and that percussion is ON POINT. So freakin' good!

Intro: 2 bars of 6/8
Section 1 (twice): 1 bar of 7/8, 1 of 6/8, 1 of 9/8, 1 of 6/8, 2 of 5/8, then 2 of 6/8
Section 2: 2 bars of 6/8, 2 of 5/8, and 2 of 6/8
Section 3: 2 bars of 5/8, 1 of 6/8, 1 of 5/8, then 4 of 6/8
Depending on how you count your bars, the song changes time signatures every 5 seconds approximately…
How did Caleb change the pitch of the timpani that fast? was there another guy rapidly working the pedals?
I remember the plots to the other scenarios. Dedede, dyna-blade, meta knight, but I can't remember milky way wishes plot

If its ok for me to ask, how do you record these? When you record one of the parts are you also listening to all the others with earbuds or something? And if so, what do u listen to for the first part? Maybe the original song or a metronome? Im asking because i also play cello and want to make one of these someday
I start with a click track (metronome) and usually record the bass lines first. Then as I add parts I continue to use the click track and listen to the previous parts I recorded
