The ugly stage of a piece can be so difficult to push through sometimes.
Baylee, you could sew a little fluttery "bedskirt" for the shelf. That would block you from staring directly at the light and add a little bit of cottagecore to the feel.

You could probably but some fairy lights underneath the shelf, that way it wouldn’t be so blinding but can also give light and be cute

You could use your cricut to cut out a scrolly floral sticker or maybe viney leaves to decorate your things. Then it will look like the gray is part of the design and you don't have to cover all the awkward edges.
Amazon sells these under shelf/cabinet bar lights, I have on for my desk and it lights up the whole thing 👌

9:39 You'd be better off using freezer paper for your paint palettes. It performs the exact same as the palette paper but it's far cheaper and comes in large rolls that let you change the palette size.
you can get strip lights and attach them to the back of the monitors so that you have lights (and can change the colors) but its not direct light and you don't have to look direct at it

You could make a tea cosy type of thing and just have a fabric cover that leaves areas open for the buttons and the tape output.

Hey! If you want to use acrylics but they dry too fast you could use the Golden Open Acrylics. They dry slower than normal acrylic but faster than oils. Highly recommend. I think Golden also has a slow drying medium you could add to regular acrylics? Though I’m unsure about that

Hi Bailey. I'm pretty sure when you're painting with acrylics there's a liquid solution you can use which helps the acrylic paint to not dry as fast.
Just wrapped my desktop pc. Cut a separate piece for the side panel so the inside is still accessible. Blends in better with the furniture
For the under the shelf light you could get some led strips! It’s not a noticeable bulb so it might not hurt your eyes and then when you need more light you could make them white but when you want to look cute you could make them pink or teal or something! 💕
Baylee have you heard about renter friendly temporary wallpaper? You could make your warehouse walls cute and fancy!

I’d love for you to I’ve like twinkle lights ha in on the back wall! Not one solid light but a few smaller bulbs on the wire :)
have you checked "under cabinet lights" from ikea/kitchen section? they are sleek and can look like a rectangle, but then are LEDs in the middle, so they'd light up the desk, but not your eyeballs at height. just a thought :)

Do you like those paper pallets? I’ve been using a picture frame as a pallet and it’s been a hassle and I want to switch to something else. Yesterday my white cat dipped her tail and scooped up all the black paint lol

Lol did not quite finish the vid but you mentioned lights. Why not do a light strip on the shelf? Flat, no right in your face and could even find ones that are color changing or a soft light. Or pink 👀

You can probably fix the blur if you twist the wheel on top on the light
It can only go blurrier, not clearer. The projector is meant to be used at farther distances.
