- I was not expecting much from a camera that costs less than $35. Well the Vandlion A22 was an unexpected surprise. It was hard to keep this review shorter than it was because there were so many great features I wanted to share with you. I'm not sure what's next for this camera but I guarantee this wont be the last time you see it on the channel.

I took a black sharpie and colored in my brass insert to hide it better. All and all this little cam works pretty good and can save your job if you work with the public

you can flip the image by pressing the (-) button. you don't have to swivel the camera to the other side.

Unfortunatley the swivel head on my camera became very LIMP after a vert few turns, now it just flops - from front to back without any help.
The Clip also POPPED OFF when I tried to hook it on the Sunvisor in My Car... I was able to "Snap it Back On" but I wouldn't put my Trust in it for Wearing on My Clothing etc.
Mine still swivels good, wonder if there’s a stew that can be tightened? I’ll have a look at mine when I’m back home.
As for the clip I knew it was removable but wasn’t able to easily remove it so I just leave it on. Maybe a bit of super glue would keep yours on without worrying about it.
@@Van_City I was wondering if the Swivel Lens used Rivets and they became loose?
Not sure it would be an easy fix ..
I just today - Slipped a Piece of Plastic Bottle as a "Spacer/Washer" in the gap,
to Snug it up.

image rotation turns image upside down (this is right side up if lens pointing backwards) handy if you mount it upside down (i do). also the sensor is only 2 mpixels so pointless setting it to anything else for stills, Great review and it is a great little camera!

Thanks very much for you simple and informative video. I find the manual a bit difficult to understand, but I usually do. You make things very clear. Just bought the (Boblov) A22 camera which appear to be identical, and am very impressed on a number of levels, not the least excellent resolution.

Great review. The clip is great to a point. I didn’t realize it was magnetic till I watched your vid! However I also got to Boblov magnetic body cam mount, but cannot use the cam “incognito” with it. I’ll figure out something to dull the shiny spot on the back. Great camera, great features. Audio capture is on the low side for anyone except the wearer…. I have the audio at maximum.

I just got mine about a week ago and I enjoy it and seems like a great buy, but I'm still having trouble learning the buttons, turning on night vision, and I wish there was an app to view footage besides on camera and laptop. 🙏
Yeah I agree if it had an app it would be that much better. I didn’t find it hard to sort out the buttons I’m sure with a bit more time you’ll have all memorized 👍💯

Hi I used an action camera mounting pad that has 3m double sided tape and stuck that to the dash then attached a tripod mount to that which has a threaded end that screws into the camera

I don’t believe it supports external microphone. I do think the timestamp can be turned on and off in the settings.
What is the size of plastic automotive rivet you used for covering the brass hole which prevents secrecy of recording.
Is it 8mm dia hole rivet head?

I can’t speak about the A32 as I have not tested it, however the A22 is a solid camera for the price 👍
Can you turn off the LCD screen while recording? In other words, it can record with the LCD screen off, I don't want someone to realize that I'm recording it.
Yes you can either set it on a timer to turn off or there’s also a button to turn it off.

Dang, this camera has more features than higher end ones. I bought 2 body cameras already, and feel I wasted my money because I don't understand computers and how to download stuff to transfer videos etc. So I need to just get one that has an SD slot( which mine do not) , so I can just plug and play.

Only problem i see is that has no ir filter so sunlight and halogen / incandescent lamp make purple images that look weird, and nightvision is bad.
Yes that would be the only obvious flaw that I noticed as well. But for the price I can live with it.

I would strap to the front of the e-scooter with Velcro or even elastic bands

I haven’t tried the A39 but looking at the sales page it looks decent. Out of all the Vandlion cameras I’ve tested the A22 has been the best

I am unable to access setup after pressing and holding the menu button. Once setup appears within 1-2 seconds, it starts automatically recording. Any suggestions?

Why video and photo is like bumpy or something like fisheye effect.
Is there possibly a protective film still on the lens? I know mine had one and it wasn’t obvious.

You can go into the settings and adjust the length of time it films. Also it will record over previous footage once the memory card is full.

I would recommend the A22, I’ve tested a few of the others and found the A22 to be the best

hi hi, upon using as dash cam for e-scooter, and view the video, I find the noise level is high. Is there a way to reduce noise level, besides taping microphone section?
I think you might have to tape the microphone I don’t see any way to adjust noise levels through the settings

What I used was center of a 2 piece automotive rivet. Easily found at any automotive store

Do you think I should worry about durability of the clip? if the material is magnetic metal, it might be vulnerable. If it has flexibility, I dont need worry. Im gonna clip in and out clothes, vest and my Eletronic Motocycle dash board. What do you think?

I got the package better than I expected. nice all thanks to you. Im gonna buy A30 in the future as well. However the buttons are making tiny noise whenever I move. it sounds like tiny spring shaking noise from buttons. But not really annoying though xD. Im kinda confused how to set into none-stop recording. My primary laungauge Russian and Korean is not translated well. Its like google translastion. So decided to use in English lol
and Im not allowed to use fast phone chargers right? I read instruction paper, it says standard charger or plug in PC to recharge. So Im guessing it must be used with weak volt charger am I correct?

Yes if you hold down the menu button it will have a screen pop up giving you options to protect or delete the video or photo.
The LCD off option does not work. How to make it work?
You can try holding in the reset button and see if that corrects the issue
Intelligent solution. Kindly confirm if LCD display off allows video recording start in device Off mode , to start video recording without display of welcome screen.
Kindly try it and confirm.
If I try reset option, there's no guarantee that further more glitches may crop up over and above the existing one!

what would have really helped was showing the audio while out walking around. I would like it for self-protection in case of assaults etc. So you talking over the video of you at a store was unhelpful just some feedback for future posts, thank you for the review though, love the video quality
Yeah thanks for the feedback appreciate it. Agreed the video quality is good also the audio And I should’ve showcase that in the video as you suggested. However there are parts in the video where the audio used is directly from the camera, outside in the parking lot at the beginning of the video as well as the clip at the McDonald’s drive-through was the camera audio

How do you format SD card
There’s an option in the menu to format the SD card
If a room is dimly lit, will it record clear images? I had a camera and in low light all the video looked dark. The 4 infrared cameras must be uncovered for this to happen?
The Infrared lights work great but are more for night use. If the room is dim I think the image quality will still be somewhat dark.

Yes it has a very good belt clip that would work great to film you catching fish. The battery is not removable
you did not mention where the sd card goes into or how large a memory it can handle. Same with how you charge it or where the charging port is. And if the camera can operate with while charging.

wow time indicator on footage! awesome! advertised 10 hours recording none stop but if I change it into 1080HD it might be 6 hours none stop video recording? Clip is plastic with magnets along the back side. Very strong and durable. I prefer this clip over the other ones I’ve reviewed.
Colour is black I don’t think it comes in any other colour
Loops recording means once the storage is full it will start recording over the old footage. 128g card will hold several hours of footage so no worries 😉

Does this camera record video and audio at the same time? Does the recording loop or does it auto save?
It does record audio and video at the same time. It auto saves I believe 10 minute files and will record over old ones if the your storage card fills up.
I have just bougt one of these i think the recording quality is rubbish why do they say that is is full hd when the quality is so bad
Always have to consider the cost as nearly every company claims full hd. In my opinion it’s not bad quality compared to others in the same price range but definitely not comparable to a GoPro

No it doesn’t die fast. It will record continuously for approximately 10 hours per charge

How to you upload on UA-cam, do you have to convert it
I just upload the footage to my computer and edit my footage with an editing program then upload to UA-cam

Damn thats great camera... How long is the battery life?
It sure is a great camera, the advertised battery life is 10 hours continuous run time. I’ve only charged the battery once when I received it and have probably used it 5-6 hours with 1/2 battery life still showing

I believe the boblov is a rebrand. For what I’ve seen it’s the exact same item
and this product, the video footage looks much wider than A30, or am I wrong? both released year 2022?

how to use motion detection?
Just turn it on in the settings and leave the camera powered on and when it detects motion it will start to record

1. Power on the camera
2. Hold down the menu button
3. Option 4 should be the motion detect
4. Select motion detect and turn on

Hello, i believe you mentioned the motion detector , does this camera have it , and how do you set it up if it does , I want to set it up to record at my job since there’s been people stealing tools, Can it record at least 10 hours ?
Easy to setup in the menu. Will only record if it detects motion so during a 10hr period should be good 👍

@@elpichi3 I just tested the motion detection very easy to activate.
1. Power on the camera
2. Go into menu and turn on motion
3. Exit menu and slide the record switch to start recording
It will initially record until it doesn’t detect motion then auto stop and start recording again if motion is detected.
@@Van_City i noticed on the left hand side of the mini screen there is a + and a - ( plus and minus sign ) with a 0 next to it, is that a zoom feature and if it is how does it work , if is not what is it for ?
spoiled by stabilization of GoPro and iPhone, too bad this didn't have better stabilization, I can't watch it
