Can't believe the are no comments for one of, if not THE, best comedy movie scene in the history of cinema. All three are great but Kirsten's is a tour de force performance. He comic timing, particularly in the first half of this scene, is simply amazing. Thank you so much for uploading this.
1:53 dude when I first saw this I was crying I was laughing so hard. And every time since. This is such a great movie; I first watched it with my father recently and he'll watch it multiple nights in a row
Pretty sure I had this happen during my surgery 2 months ago. I definitely recall waking up in the middle of the procedure and had chest compression bruises. And if you’ve ever had to deal with physicians mistakes and/or hospital risk management, you’d know how textbook this scene is.
Whoever wrote this scene was either a patient or an employee of UCLA Medical Center. This is how UCLAHealth treats patients that have complaints. UCLA just isn't as pleasant about it.
I remember discovering Kristen Wiig in this movie. I didn't know either her or Ricky Gervais, I was watching it for David Koepp. The two screnes with Kristen are the best. Later on, I saw The Office and discovered it was the same actor, I couldn't believe it. You wouldn't say he's a comedian just from this movie, even as he has perfect timing. Too bad they never worked together again...
Pretty much every hospital everywhere. There are more unprofessional and unfit medical professionals, then any other profession period. But they are protected by a private organization with teams of lawyers and loads of money, not to mention influence and Washington lobbyists.
@GretschDog Alot of that is because of programs such as phlebotomy in second chance highschools or dropout recovery schools ( privately owned but publicly funded), that teach a program towards graduation credits. Alot of these people are ignorant, ghetto and deplorable humans that cheat, are late to class and barely pass at the required minimum. Then they go on to be hired by big conglomerate hospitals that don't care about the ability of their mediocre skilled employees and their abilities. I only know this from working in the field, I saw the product that was being put out. That exists in many aspects all over the u.s. They basically push these people through. But because healthcare is booming and med centers are struggling to fill spots, they have lowered the bar also. Its actually the same in U.S. special forces, due to lack of interest, they lowered expectations; which equates to more graduates. Our whole system needs retooled.
Ricky is great and he had a big part in the lines, but the writer is great also. It's David Koepp mostly. He wrote Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, and many others.
the movie was ok at first but the last half hour was so depressing.a totally different movie, shit, getting depressed just thinking about it again, the endless speeches ricky gervais gives in this movie, holy shit. i take it back,it's an awfull movie.
When that big guy stormed in I nearly pissed myself. Brilliant scene and perfect comedy timing of all the cast
1:53 Still kills me 12 years later! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Blood hilarious. Gervais's subtle mannerisms and little glances are brilliant.
That was such a funny scene...All three perfect for that scene...funny, funny
?
Laura Burnett you clearly love the scene
I just watched this last night and thought it’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen - brilliantly written, perfect cast, hilarious - genius👏👏

Kirsten?
She reminds me of the girl with purple hair who had a cat that can talk and blow raspberries.
Geez, calm down John. This is ok, even good but it's not in the top 100 objectively for best comedy scene.
Best comedy scene in the history of cinema? HAha dumbest thing I have read in a while. It is funny - let's leave it at that, Slappy.
3:34 I love how he’s calming down 😂😂😂

Why is he calming down 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic scene, Kirsten is genius.
My anesthesiologist had 2 strikes?!?

4:17 "oh he's perked up, go on" 😂
We have this as a family catch phrase! Love it so much.
The Look
when she says "Everybody dies" LOL
Oh he’s perked up!
Any good lawyer could rip that contract to pieces.
Is there a legal loophole to combat it?
@@wh3nderson95 Yes probably. That's what lawyers are good at finding.
Hard to say in america.
Ricky improvising that scene…genius!

Michael Leon-Wooley---SO FUNNY. They all are. Hilarious movie.
1:50 omg 😂😂😂
I ADORE KRISTEN WIIG
whats funny / scary is how real hospitals REALLY cover up the horrible shit they do and skirt responsibility for people under their care
Who wrote that scene and where is he ? It's pure genius. Kudo to the exceptionals actors here who made that scene a great comic classic.
Ricky is great and he had a big part in the lines, but the writer is great also. It's David Koepp mostly. He wrote Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, and many others.
Bloody good show. ❣
