Very cool video. I like the mix of real rifle hunting and AG hunting. Keep up the good work.

Love the rifle. Takes em out and field dresses them in one shot. Loving this powder burning series of videos.

Ridin Green here- Great shooting Bob. I could see that you hit the second one through the camera. My 17 Rem shoots those tiny 25 gr bullets, but does so at 4100 fps. It makes a slap on chucks like you simply can't imagine unless you hear it for yourself. I believe you hit that third chuck in the head and the mark on the rock was from the pass through. I am betting he was lower on that rock that what you thought or could see through the scope. The way he flew off the rock makes me think so more, because a splashed hit wouldn't have sent him flying so hard IME.

Thanks RG......I'll take that analysis any day!!
This rifle is sooo spot on that I just had a hard time believing there was 4 inches of excess drop. I dialed the elevation up from the previous shot of 200yds , and that 4" of additional drop just made no sense, especially since I knew I broke the shot cleanly.

In my early days in the MSP (before the ES Team existed) there were usually 2 troops at each post trained as "snipers" with a scoped 30.06. During the training, I had never shot a scoped rifle before, so in the prone position, I got too close to the scope and I got punched in the eye but good. It was a pretty typical eyebrow cut and we put the first aid kit to good use that day. Lesson learned.

Nice shooting! I didn’t especially like the skyline shot but I would hope you know what’s going on over the hill!! Just FYI, I always pick up a few of those signs from election time and carry a couple with me! If I ever question my zero I can stick them in the ground wherever I want and even without a bullseye there’s always some character to shoot at on those signs!

Yes, that's why I changed the angle of the shot......as the road was down range from where my car was but from where I took the shot there was another half mile of empty pasture and corn field.

How do you like the idea of carrying those election signs in case you need to check zero? Light as a feather, no space and put them wherever!

On the second shot, possibly off a rock and through the Chuck?? That would kind of explain the overall damage.

Bob that's not an airgun!!!! Lol
I haven't had my powder burners out in a couple years...
.243 Winchester was my favorite woodchuck sniper before I got heavy into airguns...same casing but smaller and faster 6mm bullet!
Even with the ricochet nice shooting brother!!! I've taken 9 so far this year mostly with a .30 cal Maverick...

Thanks James. Yeah, even smaller caliber centerfire rifles are hard to come by in the models you want.....I've been checking.

Good shots, absolutely, but I wonder at the size of the caliber used,.. but then again, if you are testing the accuracy of the rifle, this is fine shooting.

I chose this caliber mainly for deer, but I've been thinking of getting a smaller caliber for the smaller animals.

@@BullseyeBob You can't have too many rifles Bob, and that you have the game to use them on, so much the better.
