I iron my diamond paintings and it is so easy. I don't have to worry about flattening them out. Of course I have to take the plastic off and put parchment paper on top beforehand.
You know I had not thought about what would happen to the plastic cover when you iron.
I flatten my small canvases under the bed in order of alfa/numerical order. I put the drills in alfa/numerical order in a small almost flat box with a white sticker facing me with the matching alfa/number

I have found that if I roll my diamond painting the opposite way it flattens out. Also, I bought on TEMU the A3 Display Book that can hold up to 30 diamond paintings in one book. It holds the 30x40 perfectly. I also bought the smaller one for the small diamond paintings. Then I put the drills/diamonds package along with everything that it comes with in a plastic storage container and I use a post-it note taped to the package of which diamond painting it goes with. Life so much easier because I'm organized now. 😁💓

I just put a little sticker that I write TSU on it for this side up. You can just make your own little sticker if you don't have any.

You definitely can take the plastic all the way off by replacing it with release paper, which is what I do

My trick for the cellophane cover is to put a piece of neon orange duct tape on the bad side. The underside is not neon. Bought the tape at Walmart in the craft department.
Thats another great idea! ANother said she has stickers printed with THIS SIDE UP to put on the cover too. Both are great ideas!
Get some parchment paper to put on your painting
