His bank account isn't that large... he's talked about the fact that the reason he's done so many small movies was that he was unable to retire due to not having enough money to do so. Sure, that is mostly on him cause he's been paid really well over the years. Though he's never been the guy making 30-50 million for a single movie, he should have been more aware of his finances.
It's not hard to find the information. I'm not naive, I'm just not overly critical or cynical towards successful people. It is not uncommon for actors, even successful ones, to go broke.
