    Killer video! Just got my BS in human performance after pitching at the D2 level, man this makes me want to get out of my business job and start working with athletes

    great questions, did a great job taking a soft spoken man and help him work through what his body feels and turning it into words. very insightful. selfishly i;d love for big ben to compete as a starting pitcher at the next level!

    I've been using a 4 seam cutter slider combo like he was talking about and it really works if you focus on getting the great depth and speed differential on the cutter

    Wow. Playing Baseball is so difficult. I peaked early. At 14 I was a 6-1 170 pound monster the Best in the county at everything.. Then every year after that everyone was getting better and I stayed the same. By the age of 18 I was nothing special at all. It was tough to take. Several guys I played with and against played MLB ball. I was 10 times better than them at 14-15 years of age. By 18 I was eating their dust.

    this is awesome, from an ex-minor leaguer who struggles with velocity, this was extremely helpful. Thank you so incredibly much. Wish there was something I could do to return the favor gentlemen :)

    I found it interesting the way his front foot swings out and points toward the 1st base side when he lands (at least that's what the angle makes it look like). Is that an viable option for guys with ER dominant hips? I used to do that a long time ago until my coach made me change it. I'm wondering now if that was just how my hips wanted to move.

    Great video. What are your thoughts on his arm action? It “seems” early but obviously it works for him. Why does it work for him but not for other pitchers?

    • @treadathletics
      @treadathletics  2 роки тому +1

      He still hits all the positions and doesn't "Stall out" there even though the arm gets up a little earlier than some. There are examples of this type of arm action in the MLB (Luis Castillo).

  • @danielroberts1457
    @danielroberts1457 2 роки тому

    Does his shoulder tilt down help with momentum? Is it a counter to the leaning back we see in some pitchers? Does it help him stay stacked? Awesome video!

    • @treadathletics
      @treadathletics  2 роки тому +2

      I imagine holding that posture helps him avoid early trunk extension.
