They do great under a load!! The RPM's stay about the same, most engines the top speed is about 550 RPM's!! We slow these down to about 250-300 RPM's for the Show's plus they look cooler running like that!! The flywheel are so big and heavy on those engines they won't even feel a generator but with a cement mixer or larger piece of equipt. the engine would fire a little more often to keep the momentum of the wheels up!!☺
thats not as bad as i thought, the few engines i've seen around her people wanted waay too much for them. like 850$ for one that didnt work. it'd be cool to buy one for a couple hundred then hook it up to DC generator, it'd make for a really cool novelty. would be awesome to run lights off it for 4th of july or anytime everyone is outside :P
That's the beauty of these old engines they were built to last for generations.
I'd love to have an old engine like that. Could listen to them run 24/7.
Had to smile when that started up, very nice engine.
Seen a few United's over here but not many!
Runs good to be 100 years old!
Thanks "D"!! Yeah He's a great Kid!! He's quite accomplished for his age!!☺
Thanks for watching our stuff!! I appreciate it!! He'll be putting them up on his channel!!☺

Thanks Jeff!! Yeah it's already on a nice skid, All he needs is to make an Axle and steering truck, he'll be good to go!!☺
Nice engine, will probably make a great first project in that field :-)
Yeah the Kid did alright!!☺
He traded another engine that his Dad had for that, but you can find good engines at the shows from about $200 depending on the condition!!☺
Thanks alot Tom!!☺
Real nice he'll have fun working on that.
yeah He still has alotta fine tuning to do but that's half the fun eh!!☺
Not Much!! It's tough to say exactly!! Sometimes we run them at shows for 3 days on about a gallon!!☺
Yeah Buddy!! Lansing!!☺
Whenever RoadKing sees the tachometer, "that's crazy!"
great original Engine! Don't restore that Beauty!
that open crank looks cool......
Before you know it, he'll have more than you and Mike put together :D Also suddenly he's all grown up.
Nice. Is it gonna get restored or just leave it?
Just curious what would this be used for because it doesn't seem to practical because it doesn't give out a steady amount of power
Yeah I knew he could do it!!☺

Please explain to me using a battery. I'm new to the H&M engines and am curious. We're the mags not working?
very nice
congrats dirbike. is that too much horsepower for him? haha
Hey road king why does it latch out twice.
The mixer needed adjusting!! They run differently when they have a load on them, that was never readjusted!!☺
805ROADKING cool thanks.
Nice engine...if he makes himself a better cart, he'll be all set. Runs good.
Yeah Buddy!! That's something he can hone his skills on for sure!!☺
Thanks Carn!! Yeah I'm sure the Kid will be posting his progress!!☺
Thanks Bud!! You'll stumble on one when you least suspect it!!☺
how much did it cost him? i've been wanting one for a while.
Yeah that's a great engine to start a collection with!!☺
I think he said he was gonna leave it the way it is!!☺
Yeah I think he's gonna leave it the way it is!!☺

The Lil' Guy loves it!!☺
How old is he
Thanks Bud!!☺
Thanks Bud!!☺
Wow, thats amazing Roadking. How do they do under load? Do you have to bring the RPM's up for something like a small generator head?
One day I will join the Hit and Miss club. Nice engine!
Its amazing how slow that unit can run with out just stopping dead. Very fun to watch. How are they on fuel?
Need a bit of tinkering and that bit of sheet steel replaced with some clear plastic so it's easy to watch the big end/rod/piston, but not bad.
That'll keep him out of mischief :D
What’s the serial number on it, it looks like 1002 _ _
Pretty cool :) Congrats dirt bike ! Have fun with that:)
They're great on fuel!! At the shows some engines will run for 3 days on about a gallon!!☺
He's soon going to need a bigger shed LOL.
lol and his first one is from Michigan!!
Open Crank - I love to watch those run!!
Very interesting, thanks for the info.
Nice sweet running wee engine there, lookin` forward to seeing more of this one :)
I wish I could find one seems a lot of them were scraped around here
Nice find
For got to open the cylinder oiler there for a while. I noticed ;-)
I have this same engine. I know it's been awhile, but I wonder if Dirtbike5100 still has it?
Yeah Buddy!! I can't remember the last time it was run though!!☺
Way to go Dirtbike !!
BUBBLE MAKER
