Her friends are content creators, they have busy lives, and have many friends who are also content creators, they can't be expected to keep track and check every single business move or thing that they do. Also I never even said anything about Jack? However you clearly misunderstood what the tweet actually was. The tweet was congratulating valkyrae on the launch (before the drama happened) so when drama started picking up, and Jack started receiving hate for supporting the product, he deleted it as he doesn't want to be involved I the drama.

I grew up with Jacksepticeye's work and it makes me livid with the way she, alongside others, treat him. People like me have watched Jack go though some shit, and we love him because he's like us. He goes through things and when he messes up, he admits it. She's treading on people who are genuinely good people.

I work in the medical science community. Absolutely laughable to suggest that you cannot publish the study you are relying on to support the claims you are making about the product you are selling because other people might 'steal' your research. This is anti-science, and I'd wager a large sum of money that the 'research' is not worth the paper it is written on.

I know right.. it's literally what patents are for.. if patents didn't exist any company (especially in the scientific field) can claim they don't have to release any of their research and development because other companies will steal their competitive advantage lmfao. Patents are the main tool to protect intellectual property, in the real world of business all companies with R&D do release patents to a public database. That's why big companies like Apple and Nintendo still have to release their patents and pharmaceutical companies release their research as well. I think it's quite naive that Valkyrae falls for that as the company's excuse.

The best course of action for Rae would have been taking the blame & admitting to being naive. Or talking to a lawyer before making any loud statements. This would not be the first time an influencer was scammed by a skincare / makeup company. Calling out her friends was the worst choice in the situation. I understand being upset & not thinking straight, but even so blaming her friends is taking it too far.
i remember when there was that whole debacle with krave beauty & purito sunscreen and they handled it professionally. this isn't that much different except she handled it poorly. that's it. she wasn't scamming people but she left a horrible apology.

“I hired some person who went to Harvard with a PhD in this field of math to prove my innocence” then proceeds to say the guy doesn’t want to be publicized. Except Dream didn’t try to throw the blame of his friends, double down, plug the shit deemed as a scam, flex, google search it two years ago and ignorant of the research done.
Honestly I think this "Apology" video was way worse than the actual scandal, I think that although there are many people who would have been annoyed by just the product, that this attack on her friends and passing the blame is way worse and is going to cause a lot of her fans to kind of take a step away from her (as I have). This video is honestly brutal, this is the kind of thing that causes hate from fans as opposed to just annoyence at her scammy products. She should have just admitted that she fucked up, and everyone would just move on. But now she has really damaged her image way more than her bad products would have.

I like Rae but this is a really bad look, she takes no responsibility in this and just makes excuses and tries to paint some of her "friends" in a bad light. They did nothing wrong, she did. This is her product that she claims she has been envisioning for 2 years. which sounds very sus because having had that much time, it would have been quite easy to notice the lack of proper research supporting these claims, and did she seriously trust the research that this company did themselves? Hi, just for your awareness. There is a difference between scientific study and commercial research study. One is generally for non-profit and the latter is for attracting investors and stakeholders to trust in a product in development.
@@RoroNYQ I believe the company should publish the commercial research they have conducted for TWO types of research. It will not undermine their business and will benefit them if they can prove it is legitimate since it's "groundbreaking".
(1) Currently research is severely lacking that blue light emitted from everyday devices cause significant damage to skin. If the company wants to launch a product to target this problem, they need to prove it IS a real & valid problem. It would be in their interest to release the experimental findings to public from their own commercial research study as proof of concept. If you want people to buy the solution you offer to a not established problem, you need to demonstrate the problem is real and significant.
(2) The other thing is about proving via lab testing with skin tissue or clinical study that their formulation or active ingredient can protect skin from damage against blue light. If you want people to buy the product, you need to demonstrate the solution you offer actually works.

(2) You can refer to a research done recently in 2020 (if I remember correctly) that the study does conclude the damaging effects of blue light is measured. Companies don't have to prove anything to consumers as long it is safe for use and within laws. Do companies producing makeup products with "SPF" in them prove how much it actually shields your skin? Or do they just slap on "SPF 50+" on the label and metal oxides in the formula and claims it does what it says?

(1) Yes there are regulations, but with skincare the regulations are not as exigent, the purito scandal was based on the level of spf they were claiming to have based on the ingredients, basically the ingredient that provided the spf protection wasn't giving the 50+ spf so it was false information and they have to retire the product, however the product was aproved by the korean fda but it wasn't on the american FDA
That SHADE to Poki though... I know she said later on the stream that Poki reached out but she didn't say WHEN and that's why she threw the shade. That "when" factor really bothered her. I understand she's mad and frustrated but she can't get even with her friends. They all have lives and she doesn't know what they are thinking, maybe they just want to give her space. But if the production company is based in lets say China, it's usually really hard to get cases settled. And the face of the products gets the heat (rightfully so). We usually don't see all the big European brands putting out fals research, cause they been through all this before, and have teams of lawyers and researchers working for them. Most of these influensers are willing to slap their name on things for a quick buck without doing the bare minimum of research or thinking things through. And when it all backfire they don't wanna take any of the blame.

Honestly Jack took the perfect approach to this. Cause as someone who only watches his content regularly out of this group, I wasn't aware of this whole thing until someone commented on his recent tweet about "valkyrae talking shit about him". Even when someone he was streaming with made a "blue light" joke, in my mind I went "wait didn't valkyrae release a product like that?", jack didn't even react, so I forgot about it in minutes. I feel like him addressing it would just give the issue a bigger audience. And trying to support someone through something like this can be mentally taxing. Great video! This takes me back to when I was doing my masters dissertation - I thought I legit came up with new hypothesis for certain molecular biology mechanisms. I topped my batch and was p good at what I did, yet, when the professor went through my work she had counter points for every single thing I put out. Research is really hard and it's so easy to manipulate data to support your theory and its something ppl tend to do subconsciously. The fact that Rae thinks they just came up with ground breaking results in just two years is baffling. How did someone like her with access to enough resources and so much on the line not go for a second opinion on things she literally has no idea about???

Research isn’t just something you can keep to yourself. You use research to back your product’s purpose. If there were something they wouldn’t want other companies to steal, it’s the formula to make the product. That’s why it’s portrayed as that in every movie ever.
Not publicizing your research makes your product fall into the category of false advertising, especially when it’s purpose is proved unnecessary and illogical literally everywhere else.
