Farah Naaz is a leading Bollywood actress of the mid 1980s and early 1990s. She was born on 9 December 1968 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Her father, Jamal Hashmi, was an actor. Her mother, Rizwana, is a school teacher. She is the elder sister of actress tabu.
Farah married actor Vindu Dara Singh in 1996. The couple divorced in 2002. With Vindu she has a son Fateh Randhawa who was born in 1997. Farah later remarried fellow Bollywood and television actor Sumeet Saigal in 2003. Tabu is the niece of actress Shabana Azmi and cinematographer Baba Azmi
