This is better than any soap opera in the last 20 years. No cut up scenes, the actors get to breathe and play the emotional story beats. Wow. This lady, Ann is outstanding.
This is incredible!!!! No thirty second scenes where it loses all impact!!! Nice long scenes god this was good!!! I didnt even watch this soap but based on this scene i would have!!!
Me too. I never even watched this one but you can just totally tell how much better they were....there were so many on the the 80s when I started watching 2 of them. Days and GH....I kept up with both every day for years thanks to a VCR...It would have been impossible to watch any more... I say cancel all of the current ones and just start a streaming soap site and have all of them up... at least from the point they started saving them. Maybe 1980 forward. They are just not the same.
That's exactly why I typed in: morgan Fairchild search for tomorrow. That's the scene I was hoping to find. I was a kid when I saw it. I remember she was having an argument with her husband and her dialogue went exactly like this: "when you said you didn't love me..that was the truth...that was the truth! everything else has been lies nothing but lies". And as she turned to run away from him she fell through the sliding glass door in slow motion. I would love to see that see again. It's so etched in my memory.
It is etched in my memory as well. Oh, how I would love to see this again. Peter Simon and Morgan Fairchild were so incredible in this scene as Scott and Jennifer. And remember Jennifer undergoing plastic surgery to repair her damaged face? Oh, the suspense of seeing her head and face in bandages for so long and waiting to see how her face would turn out in the end. Truly the glory days of soaps. SFT was one of the best! Remember when pathologist Alan Ramsey and Nurse Fay Chandler were having an affair and kidnapped Wade Collins? One of the best storylines ever!!! How I would love to see those amazing episodes again!!! I was beyond addicted!!! All of this was Summer of 1976, if I recall correctly.
Search for tomorrow another world guiding light Ryan's hope loving and one life to live along with as the world turns are the ones that should still be on today. I only watch those four remaining shows out of habit they aren't as good as all of those canceled shows. As far as Ann Williams I agree that she was a very good actress never saw her on the edge of night so I don't know what type of character that she played. I only grew up watching all of the cbs and nbc daytime soaps with the exception of that very dreadful passions . But all the rest of them on both cbs and nbc I was hooked on as far as the abc soaps are concerned I didn't start watching them until much later not until 1988 or 89 back then I was so into soaps that I would watch all of them including all of the four shows that are left today. But the soaps back in the 80s and even the 90s were definitely magical daytime was must see television back then they all had a much much bigger budget all those big big weddings all those location shoots those big soap parties galas . Such great great memories. I miss daytime of the 1980s so much although I'm so glad that we still have atleast four of them left the magic is gone daytime just isn't the same like it used to be. RIP to both Ann Williams Elizabeth Hubbard Doug Watson Connie ford kristoff st. John Beverly McKinsey carman Duncan Helen Wagner Kathy Hayes along with all of the rest of our daytime family that we sadly all lost including both Jeanne Cooper and Rick porter who played Kathrine and Larry respectively on the young and the restless and another world I believe they both passed away on the same week I have such awesome and very fond memories of both Larry and Clarice as one of my favorite bay city couples they were so cute together they never broke up and stayed together till the end which is unheard of for a soap couple the same with Mac and Rachel. If anybody knows what ever happened to the actress who played Clarice on AW. Please share and post it for those of us that are curious thanks and take care and be safe
I watched this storyline when I was about 16. When I used to see Morgan in the gym a few years back I mentioned this story arc and Morgan was quite fond of Ann Williams and told me she met Ann's daughter who was writing an article Morgan was in. Morgan was not fond of Mark Harmon and his GF Christina Raines all on Flamingo Road. She said Mark and Christina were mean to her and often ignored her esp. after a magazine photo shoot (TV Guide?) where the mag. wanted to focus more on Morgan than the other 2.
In that storyline Karl Devlin thought Eunice had seen him kill someone so he tried to kill her at the cabin. It was a case of mistaken identities though as Karl killed John's secretary instead of Eunice and he also shot Eunice's husband, Doug who ended up being paralyzed. BTW in case you're curious the cabin scenes aired in 73, while the John & Eunice clip is from 76.

RIP Ann Williams you were a wonderful actress from Eunice on Search for tomorrow to Margo on the Edge of night
I loved Ann Williams and Eunice and still can't get past the writers killing her off. Totally unexpected, and unnecessary.
@@NoHu4 And they killed her off on The Edge Of Night too! and she was good on there as Margo Dorn.
Wow, what great acting and writing! Truly the golden age of soaps!
This is incredible!!!! No thirty second scenes where it loses all impact!!! Nice long scenes god this was good!!! I didnt even watch this soap but based on this scene i would have!!!
This folks is how to do a soap!!!! Unlike today's 30 second scenes
Ann Williams was underrated!
She was the original Dr Maggie Powers in “The Doctors”.
Wow, What a treat to see these scenes again. Would love to see more of Eunice/John/Jennifer. Thanks so much!
This stuff really hits you in the gut. Very good, strong acting.
I would rather watch these old re-runs than current soap operas.

I remember this! I loved sft,,,,,
where is the episode of Jennifer falling thru a sliding plate glass door and being cut to pieces? I remember that so well from summer of 1974

@@punkanellylovejoy7534 And, she was pregnant. She had come between Scott and Kathy Phillips.

I want to see Morgan going through the glass door, too! So many people remember it and want to see it again.
This time in SFT ranks up there with GLs Classic 1979 episodes. So magical. This was Lightning in a Bottle.
Oh, BTW: "Where's the rest?" I am getting hooked in.

I remember Eunice being killed by Jennifer. It remains planted in my memory. So sad.
How soon after Jennifer shooting Eunice was Jennifer discovered to be the assailant? Was she discovered right away or was it a long murder “mystery”?
Is there any more to this episode
Mail and newspaper how quaint :)
I was thinking the same thing. I'd never pick up a newspaper today ...ew...newsprint!
Big Valley Yep, and that's why your generation (Millenials) have the lowest average IQs of any generation of Americans.
miss Search for Tomorrow

I wonder if Ann Williams knew this would be her last major storyline on SFT.
What year did this episode air?
1976
Anyone knows Jennifer did it
Holy crap, "Doug. Mentioned jennifer and the glass door. Remember that like yesterday
Me too. "Lies lies, all lies, nothing but lies ... crash!"
Busted
Wow, what a way to find out your husband is cheating on you.
I was not happy when they killed off this character
Wow, did John cheat on Eunice??
He cheated on her with Jennifer played by Morgan Fairchild.
