Thanks so much. I took the switch assembly apart on my 2004 3500 exactly as you did. Same 2 pins had cracked solder. Added some more solder to each and reassembled. So far so good. Well done video and explanation.
Great video. I have 2 that are messed up. I think I'll pull one apart and check for bad solder joints. I have a pretty good soldering station so it won't be an issue. Today my passenger switch stopped working as well. Had to pull the panel and jump the motor bc its currently snowing lol.
I put a new switch, my issue is that it only happens with the drivers door occasionally. Window gets stuck but when it's working correctly motor function is just as good as other doors. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave.
Alright what if both driver side and passenger don't work? I bought a new switch on ebay and even soldered those joints and nothing. So i'm trying to figure out if it's a ground issue. My only issue is I can't find where the window switch is grounded to. Kind of at my wits end and summer is coming up quick.
Great demonstration of how using a voltmeter can get you into trouble. You did a great job to show this and nice fix on the pc board. 😀👍

Very good! My windows don’t also on all three! I guess I’ll get a new master control switch from the dealer
If all fails change the ignition switch..changed everything but all failed when i changed the ignition switch it worked like it was brand new!!!

I'd check for broken wires in the door boot. Over time opening and closing of the door causes wires to harden and break.
