I am not 100% sure what the eel was. I think its some type of worm eel or conger. The tail is very rounded so that rules out a few things. It does look a little like a hagfish but the wrong color, I don't think that's what it is. Let me know if you figure it out.
Hey Ahmad, yes! I now have still cameras set up facing forward and I want to try to do photogrammetry of a couple wrecks. I also have a still camera facing down to make mosaics. Do you have experience with photogrammetry? I have not settled on a good software for it yet.
Yes this was taken with a camera sled, but its a new one with thrusters that can be used for either manual heading control, or automatically maintaining a heading. The depth is still controlled by the winch on the boat. This sled was designed more as a tender/lighting rig for an attached ROV. That is something I have not shown off yet and have just started testing.
Pretty nice! Great footage of the tight spots they will wedge themselves into.
Short but sweet. The eel-like fish at 3:04 is an especially fun one to watch. Would you have a guess at what it is?
I would guess a hagfish, super gnarly lil guys

I got a spot for you!!
What are the cords
Thank you for the video.
awesome!!
Great video! Liked that ling chasing the fish at the end. How deep was this?
This was from 380-400'.
Hi Nathan, do you ever feel to make photogrammetry out of your video? It would be nice to have 3D model out of your videos!

🤣👍
Why the microphone?
Why not? This is filmed with a gopro, the audio comes for free.
I assume the zooming is done on the GoPro. Can it be done on a regular UW camera?
@@bobinsd1 There is no zooming in this video. What do you mean by a "regular" UW Camera?
I guess it was on one of your other vids. The cameras that Blue uses.
Was this taken using your sled? Did you add thrusters for controlling the direction? (and depth?)
