- The Israeli military struck the Al-Mawasi camp in the south of Gaza on Tuesday.
The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says at least 21 people were killed in the area designated by Israel as a humanitarian zone. The Israeli army denied hitting the area, adding that it is targeting Hamas militants. This, after 45 Palestinians were reported killed in a separate strike on a refugee camp on Sunday. Israel's Prime Minister called it a 'tragic mistake'.
Israel is pushing on with its military operation in Rafah in defiance of international condemnation and an order from the International Court of Justice.

The crazy thing is, we keep hearing from the international community that this is “worrying” and that Israel “has a right to defend, but must allow for humanitarian aide”, and yet, they are not. So how many more times should these words be said before something is done?

Ritter's report was in error (at best) when she said "no evidence was offered" regarding a weapons stockpile possibly being at fault. RADM Daniel Hagari posted an intercepted conversation between two Palestinians about secondary explosions being a weapons cache AND saying the Israeli weapon was a "small missile". The IDF spokesman said the munitions were 17 kg, IIRC, and they showed video of the target being hit. It was 1.5 km from where the shanties were set alight and where other explosions occurred.
