You are genuinely the ONLY asmr channel that gives me tingles, keep going dude, I LOVE geography I know all the countries in the world and loads more, this is so fun to watch!
yo pretty cool but let me test you! Tell me two countries in Oceania that aren’t: Australia, New Zealand, Palau, Tonga and Fiji. Spell correctly: 🇺🇿 and 🇰🇬 and also 🇹🇯 And tell me the largest city in Latin America. That’s it for your test! Hope you reply.
@@lungitylunglung Vanuatu and Micronesia, also Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and if you mean population wise it is São Paulo although I am still learning my cities I gave most of them now
Very nice facts about Brazil! My wife is Brazilian and I didn’t know that the capital, Brasilia, has a shape of an airplane! I don’t believe it is in the middle of the rainforest tough.. and Sao Paulo was never Brazil’s capital.. only Salvador and Rio.. Great video!!!
As for the national sport of Argentina it’s a very old sport that used a goose or duck as a ball, hence the name. The sport is played whilst on a horse, and no animals are harmed nowadays as there is a very funny looking ball with handles to replace the aforementioned “duck”. I have yet to meet anyone who actually plays pato, and it’s nowhere near as popular as football, Rugby or grass hockey. Great video, and btw, I’ll chip in my own gun fact, being that there is a Welsh colony on the Argentinian Patagonia. Our country is so big they just live their life speaking Welsh on the daily. I’d reckon they speak some Spanish too.
Thank you for Georgia. The one more thing, i think you should have said more about the Georgian language and alphabet, which, as you said, is absolutely unique and one of the oldests as well. It's a little bit said that people don't know much about Georgia, which is one of the oldest countries and has one of the richest histories. Thank you again.
Hi!! Loved this video as it was extremely relaxing and super interesting, especially as my country was included 🥰🇮🇪 Just a wee fact: harp in Irish is actually cláirseach ❤️ And I find it really interesting how Irish and Welsh share so many words as they come from the same language family, like Dubh Linn! Irish place names are super cool once you find out the meanings behind them, and I thought you'd like to know that Dublin actually has another more commonly used name over here: Baile Átha Cliath 😊😊
So does Dubh Linn exist, as most people have told me about Baile Átha Cliath. I feel like I have seen it someone or was I dreaming?? lol. Go raibh maith agat!
today i spent the entire afternoon wondering if “majestic” has any relation to “majesty” like how it is used in royal families, but now when i have time to google it, your asmr is putting me to sleep
@@WelshASMR82Maps now awake and we’ll slept thanks to you, i can inform us all that it is for the same word. In other news, did you know that the reason “go” and “went” don’t sound similar is because the old word for “go” used to be “wend” and the past tense was “wended” which later became “went”
A video about "obscure" countries would be very nice, countries like North Korea, Venezuela, Central African Republic and many others we don't see much about them in the internet.
Georgia does have that flag cause of saint george from what i remember, but thats not the only reason for the name "georgia". From what i know the persians called georgia "gurgistan"(or some variation of the spelling) which means land of the wolf or wolfs. Then gurgistan got translated again and again and then we get georgia. I personally think it's called that cause of king vakhtang the first of iberia, who was nicknamed by the persians "gurgasal", meaning wolfheaded. That's cause he wore a wolf-head shaped helmet. Also the kingdom of iberia had saint George's cross, so it was just the flag of England just a bit more short.
hey man, you said that Brazil's capital Is located in the middle of the rainforest, although It's located in the middle of "cerrado" (I don't know if there's a name for it in english). Unlikely the typical rainforest, cerrado's vegetation is adapted to long periods of dryness. Great video thought! :)
I’m curious about your degree! You mentioned hispanic studies, with a little bit of Russian and Arabic? So was it just languages or history, geopolitics, etc? I’m still not sure what to study in university, but this field interests me a lot!
Hello, I'm from Argentina! I have to say, I have no clue of what "el pato" is. I have never heard of that sport, but I can tell you that the most important one here is football, is pretty much all we care about.
Loved the video! Quick correction: the first capital of Brasil was Salvador, after that Rio de Janeiro, then Curitiba (for 3 days), and currently Brasília.
