Shabbat Shalom sister, I'm also a Messianic believer in Yahweh (God), Yeshua (Jesus) and The Ruach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit). When you spoke about the Shema, 'Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheynu, Adonai Echad', meaning 'Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One', the main reason He is One is because He is a 'Unified One' (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Most churches teach He is three Persons, however, scripture doesn't teach this. I now am learning to do what God said, rather than what man changed. It's a learning process of having to make changes in my life, to try to learn truth instead of tradition. Thank you for taking time to post this video and may we all bless His Name ! Shalom !

That is what your pagan religion says, not what the G-d of Israel taught with his own voice and through his Prophets. Christianity is based on Roman and Greek mythology and not what our G-d said. Who knows more about the G-d of Israel and his teachings than the people he not only revealed himself to in person but chose to bring knowledge of him to the nations? Why is it you arrogant, ignorant Christians, who can't read Hebrew, or never read a copy of the original Hebrew Bible, never studied the Hebrew Tanach, Talmud, Zohar or anything concerning Judaism think you know more about our G-d, who and what the Jewish Moshiach will be and Judaism than we Jews. I don't recall our G-d ever coming back to this world, gathering all of the Jewish people together and telling us that everything he taught us in person at Sinai was a crock of shit and we are to accept what a bunch of ignorant Christians say. Hi sister in CHRIST! When I read this verse again about placing scripture on the doorposts, I sought for it. I kept writing Christian doorposts scripture and couldn't find it. The LORD finally led me into the Mezuzah today. I'm remodeling my home this year to come and will be placing mezuzah in every door post of my home. I'm a new subscriber.

Christians and Gentiles are not required to fulfill the Laws of Moses, only Jews. Gentiles are expected to fulfill the Seven Laws G-d gave to Noah after the flood. For a Christian to attach a mezuzah to their doorpost is considered an act of desecration. And Christians don’t believe anything that is written on one. You believe your god is three while the G-d of Israel said in his own voice at Sinai that he is One and there is no one beside him. If you want to worship the G-d of Israel and not convert to Judaism then you can accept Judaism as your faith by becoming a Noahide, a righteous Gentiles.

Only Jews are required to attach a mezuzah to their doorpost. It is considered a desecration if a Gentiles does it. Why would you want to hang one when you don’t worship the G-d of Israel or accept anything he taught in his own voice and through his Prophets? The first words on a mezuzah scroll are Hear oh Israel, Ha Shem your G-d, Ha Shem is One! Your Christian god is three.

"I'm an orthodox jew and I believe in Yeshua" That's an oxymoron and impossible. You could be a Jew because you are born Jewish but that's about it. Who do you pray to? I would assume it's Jesus. Slight problem, don't you think?

@@nothingbutthetruth613 Why would you assume I pray to Jesus when he taught us to pray to Hashem? He said the greatest commandment of all is "שמע ישראל יי אלקינו יי אחד" Mark 12:29.
I understand that you probably didn't realize he upheld the Torah (Matthew 5:17-20). And so did the earliest followers (Acts 21:20). And that the gentile church is a false religion based on Catholicism/Paulism (no offense christians but it's true).
His immediate followers taught that he was a servant of Hashem (Acts 3:26).
And continued to pray Amidah at the temple while it was standing (Acts 3:1).

@@Levi_ben_Yitzhak So let me get this straight. You don't believe in Christianity but you believe in Jesus? Sure I know about Jesus supposedly following the laws but as you know, nobody followed the laws after him.
How can you pray to Hashem if you need a mediator. Remember that? You can't come to the father except through me?
A Jew has to yearn for the coming of Moshiach and await his imminent arrival. You obviously don't do that.
A Jew has to repent. If you believe Jesus died for your sins, you have no need to repent.
So you believe in Jesus because of Daniel 7? If you think he is the son of God, how can you use this verse? Doesn't it sound kind of odd to call this divine being a son of MAN. If you really are orthodox, you are very familiar with Psalm 146 which you should be saying every day. "Do not trust in the son of man who does NOT save".
Look, I don't want to get into a theological debate here since there are so many contradictions but I'm just curious what you mean by being orthodox. Do you follow what the Christians call Rabbinical Judaism? Do you follow the Shulchan Aruch? Do you go to a regular synagogue hiding this fact about yourself or is there some place you go with others like you? Btw I'm also curious what your background is? Did you grow up orthodox?

@@nothingbutthetruth613 Lots of questions here. Not that I owe you an answer for any of them and I highly doubt that your questions are in fact a matter of curiosity but rather an attempt to win your argument I however will address the questions that I feel may benefit others who may read this:
When I came to believe in Yeshua I was living as a strict Torah-observant Jew and was just against Yeshua as you are and said many bad things about him and could see no reason to believe he was Mashiach. But I had a very unexpected experience with him in my room. I had no idea what to do with that at the time and didn't know what it meant for everything I believed I only knew that he was alive. Only through much study and through the spirit (yes it's a real thing and it came on me about 2 weeks later) was I able to fill in the blanks.
First you said that nobody kept the Torah after that. That's not true, we see in the 5th century Jerome writing about a small group of Jews who: "accept Messiah in such a way that they do not cease to observe the old Law."
Epiphanius said of the same people: "They disagree with Jews because they have come to faith in Christ; but since they are still fettered by the Law - circumcision, the Sabbath, and the rest - they are not in accord with the Christians."
The pagan Catholic church (not Yeshua) is the one who abolished the Torah and modern-day christians have merely inherited those lies. As it is stated in the Creed of Constantinople: "I renounce all customs, rites, legalisms, unleavened breads & sacrifices of lambs of the Hebrews, and all other feasts of the Hebrews, sacrifices, prayers, aspersions, purifications, sanctifications and propitiations and fasts, and new moons, and Sabbaths, and superstitions, and hymns and chants and observances and Synagogues, and the food and drink of the Hebrews; in one word, I renounce everything Jewish, every law, rite and custom..."
Yeshua didn't teach you need a mediator, Paul taught that. Yeshua taught us to pray to the Father. When, Yeshua said that no man can come to the Father except through him, is it not taught in our Tanakh that the Messiah will regather the exiles to the land and rebuild the temple (Isaiah 11:10-12; Zech 6:13)? And in the restored kingdom will the Shekhina not once again live in our midst (Zech 2:11; Ezek 43:40)?
Do we now get to live in Israel with the temple standing and the Shekhina in our midst? No. Without Mashiach will that happen? No. And why would I not yearn for that day?
You say I don't need to repent? Was Yeshua's first words recorded of his ministry not “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2)?
Was not even the gentiles granted the opportunity to repent (Acts 11:18) when they came to believe in Yeshua?
Will the messiah not be the one who presents sacrifices to the kohen in the kingdom for our sins (Ezek 46:2)?
Psalms 146 says not to trust a human being (בן אדם). Should we then reject the one like a son of man (whatever you believe him to be) seen in Daniel 7:13?
Should we not trust mashiach (whoever you believe him to be) because Psalms 146 wrote that? You have to use discernment and common sense my friend.
Does Judaiam not teach that the spirit of Mashiach existed before the creation of the world? Where is he now then? Does not the Mashaich described in Daniel 7 have a throne in heaven (Daniel 7:9)? This is no normal human being and non-believing Jews know it and go to great lengths to avoid sounding too "christiany" when they discuss it. And I get it because I do too.
Learn more about what our Jewish ancestors believed the Messiah would be around the 2nd temple period then see how those teachings CHANGED in response to chrstianity.
No I don't hide. I belong to a small community of Jewish believers, strict Torah keepers and our brand of Halakha closely aligns with R' Bar Hayim.

@@Levi_ben_Yitzhak I appreciate your response. I assure you although you doubt it, I sincerely want to understand where you are coming from and how someone who is frum could believe in Jesus. I'm still not clear what halachas you actually follow and what kind of "small community" you belong to but it seems to me from the limited I hear from you that you are someone who craves being different. I might be wrong but from the fact that you would abandon how you grew up to cherish a belief that clearly contradicts Judaism and clearly has a 2000 year biased and hatred toward Judaism and from the fact that you say you follow R' Bar Hayim who clearly is not mainstream and not someone who the vast majority of authorities would agree with, and the fact that you don't even agree with the majority of Christians either, leads me to this conclusion.
Your attempt at justifying your belief in Jesus by claiming to have had a spiritual experience is typical but absurd. Are you aware every religion in existence and that ever existed has millions of adherents claiming the same thing? Are you aware there are daily sightings of Mary, Mohamed, Joseph Smith, Hanuman, etc? Every religion has people who claim they had personal revelations to justify in their head what they are doing is correct. I'm sure you will agree that only one religion could be right so this can't be how to determine what is the truth. You can't base your life on a supposed dream, hallucination, vision or perceived experience you think you have. The only way to know the truth is by searching God's own words. If it doesn't conform to God's words, it is irrelevant. If I had a dream about Jesus and he came to me and told me that he is coming back and will fulfill all the prophecies he failed to do the first time, I would never believe it and I would pay no attention to it. Why? Because Tanach says nothing ever about a second coming. This is the solution they came up with for a failed Messiah since he didn't actually do one thing he was supposed to.
Look, I'd rather not go through everything you said because I don't think you would listen to me anyway. But let me ask you one question I don't understand. Do you not believe Jesus died for your sins? Do you not believe that he is the ultimate sacrifice for all time and abolished any punishment for sin forever? Don't you believe you need blood for forgiveness and this is why Jesus had to die for you to shed blood? If so, why as you quoted correctly, will we need any third temple? Why would we need any more sin sacrifices? Why would Jesus be offering sacrifices? How is it possible he is sinning and bringing sacrifices? And I have no idea what you are saying regarding not being able to go to the father without Jesus but this is clear in the gospels, not just by Paul. What does the ingathering of the shevatim have to do with that? I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you praying to Jesus? Just tell me a yes or no. If no, how do you rectify this clear statement in the gospels and if yes, how do you rectify idolatry?

I've been fortunate to have traveled to Israel three times. It truly is the epicenter of not just the Hebrew religion, but all Christianity. Thought we Christians differ in our belief about Jesus, we share the same Father God. There are many special Jewish customs we can share, and the Mezuzah is one. Placing a reminder on our door frames is a wonderful way to remind ourselves that we want God in our lives and homes. I have them on mine and as I enter my home I stop for a moment to remember Him and how I want His presence in my home and family.

Unfortunately Christianity in the 21st century looks so different from Judaism. Maybe because through the centuries Christianity has done everything it can to distance itself from Judaism. Worshipping on Sunday rather than The Sabbath. Following the New Testament rather than the Old Testament. Eating pork rather than abstaining from foods that God has prohibited us from consuming. Following only 10 commandments rather than all 613 commandments. Worshipping the Trinity not one God. Celebrating the pagan winter holiday of Christmas rather than Hanukkah .Non cutting of the foreskin of all new born male children after 8 days.

Mezzusah should reflect your beliefs so as not to be confused Or feel tricked . Neither the ten sayings in Exodus 20 or stone tablets in Exodus 34 mention loving your neighbor. In fact it says almost the opposite. It also emphasises not to worship idols. Problem is that Paul wrote most of the greek new testament and yet never met the flesh and blood Jesus.. He was not a disciple. Many new testament references to the Hebrew Bible (old testament) but they often reveal misquote or a complete lack of understanding prior context .

Perhaps the most basic concept in these laws is a recognition that G-d has a special covenant with the Jewish people, that, beginning with Abraham, expressed itself in the giving of the Torah (including the Ten Commandments) on Mount Sinai. Because of this special relationship, the commands for the Jewish people are different for those for non-Jews. And though many of these commands may be performed also by non-Jews, some of them that express the special nature of the relationship between G-d and His People, are for Jews alone. The Mezuzah is one such law.
Because the Mezuzah represents that special covenant between the Jews and G-d, non-Jews are not allowed to keep this law. So, in answer to your question - no, you should not put up a Mezuzah in your home.
As you see the Jews in a loving and close relationship, and as you obviously respect them, it is only correct that you don't offend them by taking the Mezuzah which for the Jew is a special sign of a Jewish house, and use it for another purpose, of showing your love for the Jews.

Particularly the Book of Enoch and Jasher. I think the scripture 2 Timothy 2:15 directs us best, that we have to study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed. It's up to us to not believe everything we hear off the rip, but to study and find the truth. We need to discover what parts may be missing. Like when Yeshua quotes from the Old Testament and we can't find it in our known Old Testament, then it's up to us to find the scriptures He was talking about and study them.

A mezuzah is not considered idolatry or bargaining in the Bible. Instead, it’s a deeply respected Jewish tradition that fulfills a biblical commandment. The mezuzah is placed on the doorposts of Jewish homes as a reminder of God’s presence and commandments.
The commandment to place a mezuzah comes directly from the Torah, in Deuteronomy 6:9 and 11:20. These verses instruct the Israelites to “write [God’s words] on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” The mezuzah contains a scroll with verses from the Shema, a central prayer in Judaism that declares the oneness of God and the importance of loving and obeying Him.
The purpose of the mezuzah is to serve as a constant reminder of God’s presence and to inspire faithfulness to His commandments. It’s an outward expression of an inward commitment to God, rather than an object of worship or a means to make bargains with the divine.
So, the mezuzah is in line with biblical teachings and is not seen as idolatry or bargaining. Instead, it symbolizes devotion to God and His laws.

In Messianic Judaism, where Jewish and Gentile believers in Yeshua (Jesus) worship together, some Gentiles may choose to adopt certain Jewish practices, including the use of a mezuzah, as a way of expressing solidarity with Israel or to honor the roots of their faith. However, this is a personal choice and not a requirement.
The New Testament doesn’t impose the requirement of following all Jewish customs, like the mezuzah, on Gentile believers. In Acts 15, the early church leaders decided that Gentile believers were not obligated to follow the entire Mosaic Law, though they encouraged them to abstain from practices that were particularly offensive to Jewish believers.
For Gentiles, the decision to place a mezuzah is more about personal conviction and respect for the Jewish heritage of the faith rather than an obligation. It can be a meaningful practice for those who choose to do it, but it’s not something mandated by the Bible for Gentiles.

For Gentiles, the decision to place a mezuzah is more about personal conviction and respect for the Jewish heritage of the faith rather than an obligation. It can be a meaningful practice for those who choose to do it, but it’s not something mandated by the Bible for Gentiles.

    Jesus was very anti-tradition
Is He in your heart and your life?
Read Galatians to understand how upset God is with gentiles trying to follow laws and traditions that are not for them.
Christianity is about walking Christ-like so that ALL men can see Who Jesus is through your life in Him...

No Christians should not. It is appropriation. Majority of Christians aren't a Jew & gentiles don't put a Mezuzah on the doorway

The question is. When It might be Considered Cultural Appropriation?
(number # 1) Lack of Understanding or respect ... If a Gentile were to put up a mezuzah without understanding its deep religious significance in Judaism or treating it merely as a decorative item, it could be seen as cultural appropriation. This could be especially sensitive if the person doesn’t respect or acknowledge the religious and cultural significance of the mezuzah to the Jewish community. ( Number # 2 ) Using It Outside Its Religious Context: If the mezuzah is used in a way that strips it of its religious meaning or is incorporated into non-religious contexts that might seem disrespectful to Jewish traditions, it might be seen as appropriative.

Should Christians have a Mezuzah? NO! It's a Jewish mitzvah (commandment) and you aren't a Jew. If you are going to adopt any mitzvot, adopt the one about not eating unclean animals. It's easy to tack a Mezuzah case on your door. It's not so easy to keep Kosher. Keeping Kosher actually makes a difference in the world because you are no longer eating an intelligent animal. In general you will be reducing your consumption of animal products because most restaurants are no longer an option. Not to mention having to go out of your way to find Kosher meat and wait 6 hours between consuming meat and dairy. It's enough of a hassle that it keeps me vegetarian. Ideally I would be vegan. But I can at least manage Kosher vegetarian.
If you want to avoid the hamsa because you don't want to be mistaken for another religion, then why would you put up something that would make people think you are Jewish? If I see a Mezuzah case I will assume that the person is a Jew and not a Christian engaging in cultural appropriaton.
If you want something to remind you of G*d, why not put up a cross or something? Also the Shema contradicts the typical Christian view regarding Jesus. The Shema saya that G*d is one. The trinity goes against that.
    TL:DR If you aren't a Jew don't put up a mezuzah.

    No. It's purely Jewish.
