Very helpful. Watched it over and over. I would add that if one Bluetooth connects their phone you cannot hear anyone talking but they can hear you…. Why? Well, I learned it is meant for motorcycle engine noise… duh… to kick on the sound and cancel the engine noise when you speak. In other words, when testing it be sure you’re on the bike and ride 😅
Love the video! You were a big help when we bought these in October of 2019. I do have a question though. We use them for snowmobiling and get separated from time to time. Do the channels 8-15 that have the longer range have subgroups too and would you recommend them? Thanks Cat.
Used chatterbox for years Went to Sena blue tooth for the new thing Like you say in and out takes time to reconnect In the garbage it went and new chatterbox ordered
How busy are the channels. We used to have the hand held units for vacations when we traveled with multiple cars. We used to always have to change channels because kids and families were talking a lot. I like the radio technology for the range, however am somewhat concerned about always trying to find a quiet channel.
Hey Cat, How does talking actually work on this unit? Do you have to depress the PTT talk and then release the PTT button? Or do you press it once and then you can continuously talk to your channel group?

Yes if look at your manual you can see there are two different types of channels. I believe 8-15 have a shorter range but save battery.

OK. I thought you said in the video that 8 through 15 were the farther range channels but I will check the manual. Thanks again.

Just brought 2 units. Is it possible to turn the beep sound off or volume down when push the PTT button? Thanks

Use the channel subgroups, most people don't.

Works just like a simple radio. Push to talk and transmit. Release when you are done.
Keep it short and to the point ;)
MC touring Europe sounds pretty good.
