flashlight clicking is more common when they have lightborn because now they wont waste time going for saves. They'll just slam gens and click at you since they know they cant blind you.

@@JUDALATIONYes, they will bring that because they're really fucking strong. Tool boxes are more like a 30% increase. And can get better with Add-on And MedKits Allow people to take away more hits, which allow people to place safer and do more riskier stuff.

What does it do?
I've noted a few people claim Lightborn isn't a good perk, and I know those 4 survivors weren't the best, but people forget that you can fake not having it, and also people forget the aura-reading ability, which really is rather useful.
Thank you for showing how to use lightborn correctly.
If they were communicating with eachother, they probably would have went back to doing gens once they failed to get the blind, I have no idea how they didn't realise sooner to be honest. But yeah the perk can be handy on a few occasions
His perks or killer powers dont matter in this game. He could very well be a 115 killer with no power and win this game. The survivors aren't doing gens, and instead are fucking around. In an average game, all lightborn does is make the survivors do gens after realizing the killer has it.
It is as good as the "survivors start this trial together" offering.
There's also the possiblity that the people saying it are the people who bring full flashlights into matches and they're just trying to get people not to use it...

This was seriously one of the most satisfying games of all time. Flashers drive me crazy, if I notice a team and they have 2+ I rock lightborn as well.

I use it on demo along with mad grit, agitation, and iron grasp to bait saves and i think you can see where this is going

I would switch out mad grit with starstruck though. That way 1) you can instadown altruistic survs, and 2) even if no one directly comes for the save, a lot of times you'll still get 1 or more other survs exposed

Whenever I bring in a flashlight I hope I can use it for something other than just blinding, such as Nemesis’s zombies, Artist’s birds, Hag traps, etc etc

Lightborn against being blinded, Mad Grit against body blocking survivors. These are my two most used and favorite perks
Forced penance works too with mad grit because the person taking the hit isn't able to be heald for 2 minutes and is open for an easy down

Lightborn is a perk I will always bring even if there is one flashlight
Flashlights are insanely easy to counter and they cause survs to throw games cause they waste time trying to get a save. Lightborn is a trash perk and a waste of a slot that be used for something good.
Also If a survivor finds out you have lightborn they won’t waste time following you around and they’ll just be on gens.

You do know that running lb doesnt mean you need to pick up in the open right? You can still play as you would without LB. Yyou can still pick up while looking at walls lol.......
There is value in not getting blinded 20 times in a match and yeah you can say “gen rush” but doing gen is an objective anyways so you can focus on contesting that and not be blinded at every pallet you drop or every hook you get. I wouldn’t run the perk if they have one flash light person but it has value with 2 to 3 more depending what the team has.
its also way more Time efficient for killer by not having to worry about flashlights and you can pick up instantly if you want which saves time other than looking around. Also you can keep doing the chase like normal without being blinded at every pallet and vault

Killer main here. Just my 2 cents: lightborn can be either really good or really bad. Generally, it's useless. You can look at walls when picking up. HOWEVER, if survivors take you to like Coldwind, you will definitely need it. Ain't no walls in dat corn. It's also a great perk if you just want to chill and just want to shut your brain off to blinds
Most killers dont use it for that. Alot use it because of the annoying ass survivors that blind the killer at every pallet. Also lightborn honestly makes it more time efficient because you dont need to worry about flashlights at all when picking up and you can do it immediately wherever
@@azumi4094 1. That's what I said. Killers can shut their brains off to that. 2. No. It actually makes it less time efficient in most situations. When you don't have lightborn (or survivors think you don't), usually there'll be at least 1 survivor not on a gen going for the save. Once they find out you have it, they'll be cranking out gens.
@@doomedpepper8109 its more time efficient mainly because you can keep going without being stopped by the flashlight. You knock someone, you can instantly pick them up with no fear (aka saving time by not having to check around or purposely try to look at a wall), they cannot blind you at pallets or windows so you can chase like normal without again being limited and stopped by flashlights. It doesn't "make the survivors play better" it essentially just makes it a regular game without flashlights
Lightborne also negates getting blinded behind you or to your side - yes it does happen. It negates being blinded when going for a locker pickup. It negates the BS blinding through the window cracks in Dead dog. It is a lot more useful than people realize.

Enduring (For greedy pallet campers), Lightborn (In case of flashlights), Tinkerer (for those pesky gen-rushers), and Iron Grasp (In case anyone body-blocks a Hook.)

I feel like there was what like 1 flashlight save that was prevented that game. Ppl saying underrated but idk looking down or picking while looking at the edge of the map or at a wall usually is enough. The only reason to use lightborn is in case of locker saves which if there are 4 beamers i think it’s worth to put lightborn on as insurance
It also stops you from being blinded at every vault, pallet, and hook. There are multiple reasons why not just because of pick ups. Also instantly picking up not worrying about flashlights saves time

Some of the people bashing lightborn are some of the same people who use lethal pursuer and think it’s a great perk. Even though they claim lightborn leaves you down a perk somehow. When lethal is down the entire game after just 9 seconds.

As much as I liked this video, gotta say I played with D3AD on one match as a survivor when he was a survivor too and he died on purpose as fast as possible and ruined the game for the rest of us. Can't say I appreciate that.

The funniest frame I ever had as killer was was when I was doing adept wraith and got it first try, because the team was a 4 man dead by friends they paired up to try to flashlight save each other and they never realized that I had lightborne until post game, appear the end they resorted to two man blockade with one desperately shinning the flashlight in my face as I downed them all
Lightborn is a perk unique to Hillbilly so you would have not gotten adept if you used lightborn, but rather Wraith has the perk shadowborn which just increases your FOV

7:14, quick tip, when Nancy bumped a little bit, that’s where hatch is, so if you ever see a survivor go in the air a little bit and there’s one survivor left,
go back to that spot, because hatch is there.

Because the model for the hatch is still there, but it’s invisible. And I went to shack and bumped up in the air, because they brought a shack hatch offering

I remember I tried getting into this game.i tried killer and faced a lot of good players who used flashlights and then I gave up on killer and tried to learn how to play survivor and use the flashlight but it never worked so I just gave up on the game and only played it with friends cause we all noobs

@@pena380 It depends how you use flashlight imo. When you use it for some saves, that's alright. But when you have two or more survs with flashlights, that's mostly a bullying squad. I had more than enough rounds as a killer, where I had survs with flashlights clicking all the time to get me to chase them. I ignore them and some even get upset and DC when I don't chase them xD My golden rule is: If 1-2 survs carry a flashlight, loghtborn isn't necessary. When 3-4 survs use a flashlight, either put in lightborn or leave the lobby and search a new one ;)
@@inuala9453 I haven't seen actual bully squad i long time I rather take that than face all these gen jockey squads with med kits and toolboxes. They pretty much died after the locker save was removed. It's just stragedy what survivors use so nothing wrong in that playstyle like there is nothing wrong about tunneling or camping other side is just wanting to have fun or chance to win.

Flashlights are by far my least favorite thing in dbd so I basically just play killer like there's only 3 perks slots since lightborn is always on. Even if it's not flashlights, mines and flashbangs are taken care of.
Light born would’ve been useful for me in midwich elementary school since two survivors spammed the hell with lockers and I couldn’t kill them since they always flashlighted me.

sometimes my friend and I will try to double blind a killer and get the beam just for fun (because if you blind a killer with lightborn for long enough you eventually get a beam even if it doesn't actually do anything)
