  • In this video we save a zero volt completely flat LIPO. It's sketchy and probably dangerous. Don't do it!

    Many thanks man!! I revived two brand new dead airsoft packs using your method. They are still working great after several months and many cycles. Awesome!

    Dude! That actually worked. I was able to charge my 4S 2200 batteries.

    I've just been using a couple short pieces of old landing gear wire to directly connect a good battery to the bad one for a few seconds then quickly hooking it up to the charger, brought two batteries back from the dead so far using this method

    I would stay away from spektrum batteries .. ive had several go bad , they have an issue with their chip that over tine they automatically go into disharge mode but shows storage as the setting. Ive brought them back to work but they eventually go bad fast .. I had SMC lipos on storage for 2 years and they still work amazing . Contacted horizon - they aren't much help with lipos gone bad

    there is a much better way to do this. if you have a zero volt battery. use a 4s lipo and connect it. you should see some movement after 5 mins. also you can use a single connection through the balance taps. and set the charger to nimh or nicad charger each sell by it's self. this way you can also find the cell that is bad as well. i have done most of these even did a sync between the batteries. it all works. just be careful with how you try and reboot your battery. i do not recommend any of these steps. as it is not the proper charring way. if it is a dead battery toss it buy a new one

      Absolutely! Your idea is probably a far better approach. Thank you for the advice.

    Did the exact same thing on a lipo i accidently destroyed because of faulty low voltage warning dongles. At first i thought i saved the lipo but when i tried to rrun it it went under 3 volts/cell in under 2 minutes of runtime.

      We can't save em all... My battery still works great. No puffing and holds a charge great. I used it two days ago. But I'm sure some are just too far gone.

    I have had 5 spectrum smart batteries go bad!… all of them except one were the ones with no balance lead!!…. My very first spectrum battery with the lead still works fine!…. Don’t waste your money on them…. Buy CNHL batteries, much cheaper and last longer

      I'll check them out thanks! I actually didn't buy that battery. Got it used with a car I bought.

      @@NoFluffRC yea… I love their electronics that come in the RTR vehicles but I’ve found or had no luck with their batteries at all.

    Got a new one and it's zero.. I did the nimh trick and it worked

    • @NoFluffRC
      @NoFluffRC  Рік тому +1

      Yeah I tried that first but for some reason the NIMH wouldn't work on either of my chargers. I used this trick again last night on another battery. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Why is the battery still considered dangerous after it's been successfully "rebooted"?

    • @NoFluffRC
      @NoFluffRC  Рік тому +2

      I don't know. Some people don't like to mess around at all. Which I completely understand cuz these darn things can go on fire. I had a fire in one of my cars. But not with this battery. And this battery still works perfectly fine to this day. I use it all the time. 🤷

      Irreversible damage.

      @@Rahvanteli it's been a long while since I posted this question. I think your answer is correct, in that I understand the cell chemistry actually changes once a certain undervoltage is reached, and makes it's safety questionable.

      If this trick didn't work there must be a disconnection between cells in the battery. I've fixed them before but if it's new, best off getting a replacement...

      I believe he said many many times not to try this it’s just an experiment. That being said I’ve done the same thing. And the battery has lasted another 25 charges so far but I am extremely cautious with it I charge it in a lipo back on concrete with nothing around it except the charger

    WHY ARE YOU SHOWING A DANGEROUS VIDEO? You shouldn't be showing this at all😡

    • @NoFluffRC
      @NoFluffRC  Рік тому

      I don't really know how dangerous it was. It's probably just as dangerous as using the NIMH trick. Your ultimately pouring power into a dead battery to lift it up in order to charge it. I don't think mine is any worse than anyone else's. But like I said, don't do it.
