Where do you get a lamp strong enough to hold a tablet in a position without slowly moving out of place or losing its strength over time? I know for a fact the ikea lamp you used on the headboard can't even hold its own head up after a week of use, just incase anyone was going to make this neat idea :) nice video
IKEA i got my lamp there too, and im am actually using it right now! Its only €8,99 and i think its called tertial or something like that ;)

You could get a 3 meter charger and run that through the frame

A cool trick I found was looping the charging cable through the base of the lamp. Pretty cool huh?

Sugru is cool and I've had uses for it tbh, but it is so f*cking expensive, so I just found other methods that were way cheaper. Sorry Sugru people, but please work on the cost, I feel it is hindering a lot of possible business for you...
Can you make the plug for the light a ipad charger?
you can just run a plug through it the same way the light cord was, it will look weird but it could work

if you're good with soldering, you could leave the original wire, cut it close to the lamp and behind the stand and modify the top end with the connector and the bottom side of the wire could me modified to have an usb tip so you could still have the correct charger, making it safe and the wire longer! (hope that you got that)

That is great. You gave me a great idea. I think I'm going to build on it. I'm going to try using a strong magnet, instead of using the glue. The glue is a great idea but I noticed that the residue on the back ring sides makes it look messy. However; a strong round magnet the same size wouldn't leave any kind of mess. You know like the kind we use in our cars to hold our phones and dash cam. It's just an idea and I thank you for it. I'm going to give it a try but first I have to find one of them lamps. Thank you so much for your video and the idea. It is a great idea.
This is pretty awesome. I just bought the Ikea lamp for 10 euros (still cheaper than an adjustable ipad standard).
