The issue is that writers generally write knowing the strengths of the performers. These writers have no clue if anyone can perform, so they make it super base-level. Theres a chance they do that in the hopes that the queens improvize some lines, but nobody does.
i hate to say it, but i think this is one of my least favorite acting challenges. the queens put in a good effort! imho the material they were given was not helping them succeed
Geneva & Mhi'ya were the bottom IMO... I'm so sad about Mirage, too... My top 4 so far are Nymphia, Q, Sapphira, and then it goes back and forth between Dawn, Plasma, Tsunami & (until now) Mirage...

I thought I didn't like this challenge because this type of humor is something that only Americans understood and I'm Brazilian, but I'm happy to know that EVERYONE thought it was bad.
Saying it was THEE worst because of the elimination, as sad as it was, is quite a stretch, if anything this episode felt quite standard for an improv challenge

Yeah, fans of Drag Race who come for her especially should know that seasons after filmed close to a year before they air. Can't imagine how Plane would have felt seeing All Stars 8 before her own season aired.
It's because they were both very directly referencing a recurring SNL sketch with Cecily Strong and Vanessa Bayer, like it's the exact same sketch, and imo Plane actually did a better job with it, but both did well. (look up Moet Chandon SNL for clarification)

I didn't think any of them were funny but I never laugh at these skits I don't really have a basic sense of humor. The only thing this challenge that made me laugh is when Dawn said Amanda didn't make top 100 3 years in a row and it pans out to Amanda's face, I laughed at that. That's it

To be fair, the contestants are all filled in about what happens in the seasons that are set to air before their season (hence why Kahanna knew Ra'jah was a 'recently crowned queen' when CanVsTW hadn't aired by then.) But I do agree that I don't think Plane Jane is intentionally trying to copy Jimbo, I think the writers just wanted recurring characters

I disagree, she could've played that character in any way she wanted, doing the ditzy confused girl with smeared makeup and the same accent was as close to a carbon copy as you can get. Writing was awful but how plane can claim any originality after the last couple weeks is beyond me. If this episode was filmed before the AS8 acting challenge aired then it truly is all on the writers, but I have a feeling somebody was letting this happen on purpose. I think Mirage did great for what she was given. Everyone else was in a team except for her, she didn’t have an assigned “character” like everyone else, her jokes were funny enough, and they were ALL reading teleprompters, so she wasn’t the only one reading it off the screen *cough Q 👀*. To say she “bombed” is dramatic and she did better than Dawn.

I disagree, she could've played that character in any way she wanted, doing the ditzy confused girl with smeared makeup and the same accent was as close to a carbon copy as you can get. Writing was awful but how plane can claim any originality after the last couple weeks is beyond me. If this episode was filmed before the AS8 acting challenge aired then it truly is all on the writers, but I have a feeling somebody was letting this happen on purpose. I think Mirage did great for what she was given. Everyone else was in a team except for her, she didn’t have an assigned “character” like everyone else, her jokes were funny enough, and they were ALL reading teleprompters, so she wasn’t the only one reading it off the screen *cough Q 👀*. To say she “bombed” is dramatic and she did better than Dawn.
Letting queens write their own scripts sometimes is more funny than giving them the scripts.
