I have a question, in the Mantram 'Om mani padme hum', why is it that the 'u' in the last syllable is pronounced as 'u' in english and not as 'u' in sankrit? That you again for all the help in lesrning this beautiful and Sacred language.
In India, in general chats through mobile we write 'Hum' like this ignoring 'u' , so I think he write 'hum' there as we generally chat except 'hm' and in English whatever we speak the letter but during the formation of a sentence its pronounciation gets changed, which creates a problem... So I hope u understand what I wanna say it is 'hm' but generally we write it as 'hum' due to the habit of chats..
