I discovered these guys right before my worst heartbreak. This was the first and only song BY them in my playlist and god damn I had no idea how much the lyrics would apply to me. She always colored me a shade she couldn't see. It was like I didn't exist or matter to her. Since then I've discovered nothing but bangers in the last week or so from Capistan and oh my god these guys are amazing
Currently going through a lot of shit, and I was afraid to listen to this song. It hurts. It’s beautiful. And both of the singers are absolutely amazing live.
His screaming tone has that hardcore note to it... A lot of vocalists try to get this in their rotation but end up either doing it badly or they add effects to make it pop more. Dude just had a great tone and voice for it.
This song helped me so much as I was dealing with my cheating wife. She had been gifted a signed vinyl of Silverstein's album Discovering the waterfront album from the guy she was cheating on me with. Sadly this was my favorite album by them but that still didn't keep me from burning it in the backyard while I listened to wax poetic on repeat as it burned in front of me. One of the hardest things I've ever gone through and this band helped me navigate my feelings over the years. So thank you for that.
HAHAHA WAIT!! I just had a capstan playlist on UA-cam running in the background and didn’t even notice this was live. Wow, they sound exactly the same! Amazing band
Wax Poetic She always seems to color me The only shade she couldn't see I am transparent, I am a ghost A grain of sand on the Sunshine Coast I woke up today And figured I'd burn everything That made me think of you And the saddest part is I was left with nothing by the time that I was through You had me like the first breath of a Midwest autumn evening As the sunset fades to cold air to freeze the evergreens So can we take some time to redefine what it is you thought you'd find 'Cause when you left that night, you left me behind I woke up today And figured I'd burn everything That made me think of you And the saddest part (the saddest part) is I was left with nothing You were fibers in the thread that stitched demons in my head The reason I'll drink on my own tonight instead I never thought three beautiful words would have a grip so tight You crippled my throat You crippled my throat She always seems to color me The only shade she couldn't see I am transparent Transparent as a ghost
Just found this band a couple of days ago thanks to spotify. Im loving it. If there are any bands that have this pop punk sound but arent afraid to let lose the emo ish screams, let me know :D
Great recording. I don't get the appeal of shaky, whipping around camera work. Maybe its just one cameraman trying to capture all the action jumping around, don't know. Maybe i'm just getting old and crotchety. Thanks for the upload.
Generally our videographer would be using a gimbal, for this band they were in recording a record so we wanted to let their bands photographer shoot for the band! Thank you for watching❤️🔥
Wow the singer is really good live! And the harmonies the bassist does with him are spot on too
It'd even better in person. If you ever have a chance, do not pass it up.
@@Cmpgrndsteve they're coming through with Belmont. I'm so there
Capstan's great! Check out their new release Separate, particularly the song blurred around the edges...

2024 so glad I found this song from a friend, much love from El Paso Texas 🫡

Man this band …his voice and that breakdown at the end..you feel it in your chest.
Seeing this band live is one of the best things I've ever done
Glad to know. I’m seeing them in November with Tiny Moving Parts and Belmont. Their music is great.
@@franciscogomez465 see you there!
@@franciscogomez465 portland? Lol
@@chrisbrinkley2431 I’m going to the Denver date
Saw them with HH and Silverstein.
Damn, you know the drummer ain't messing around if he's playing traditional grip. And the whole band sounds super sick!
and when the guitarists' and bassist are all matchy matchy with their instruments
I was honestly expecting the screaming vocals to be a bit shaky live but it’s super clean

Ya this guy is fkn cracked
This is hands down the best live performance of a song on UA-cam.
That schecter guitar is so badass. Love how the finish fades from green to brown. Beautiful
Or maybe it’s brown to green 👀🥵
The lyrics are just so... poetic.
Sooooo clean, so good!! Great production!
thank you❤️🙏🏼
Thank you!
one my favorite songs of all time.

this was insane, good shit
Damn, bro, they're good live.
Wax Poetic
She always seems to color me
The only shade she couldn't see
I am transparent, I am a ghost
A grain of sand on the Sunshine Coast
I woke up today
And figured I'd burn everything
That made me think of you
And the saddest part is
I was left with nothing by the time that I was through
You had me like the first breath of a Midwest autumn evening
As the sunset fades to cold air to freeze the evergreens
So can we take some time to redefine what it is you thought you'd find
'Cause when you left that night, you left me behind
I woke up today
And figured I'd burn everything
That made me think of you
And the saddest part (the saddest part) is I was left with nothing
You were fibers in the thread that stitched demons in my head
The reason I'll drink on my own tonight instead
I never thought three beautiful words would have a grip so tight
You crippled my throat
You crippled my throat
She always seems to color me
The only shade she couldn't see
I am transparent
Transparent as a ghost
🤝🏽
So. So. Good
Nice
❤️❤️❤️
The sound is reminiscent of emo bands of early to mid 2000s. That's not a bad thing to bring back. Lyrics are deep.
holyyy shit this is so good!!
this is fucking amazing
Fucking badass! I love it
I like this updated version a little more than the original. That Acoustic rendition is still Badass too though!!!
✌😎🖖
so sick🥲❤️🔥🌹 greetings from indonesia🇮🇩
These need to be pressed on a 12” with capstan C with pelican etched on the other side. Fucking SICK!!!!!!
Best fucking version
So fvckin good 🥹
Brilliant mix, Julian! Not enough good live sound engineers around these days... still cringe at half the studio mixes i hear today xD
FUCKIN CLEAN!
Can we get a fucking hometown show soon please?? I’m dying over here.
Just found this band a couple of days ago thanks to spotify. Im loving it. If there are any bands that have this pop punk sound but arent afraid to let lose the emo ish screams, let me know :D
Belmont. Your welcome.
schectergangschectergangschectergang
is the vocalist using some sort of fry vocal technique to get his distorted voice? i really wanna learn this vocal style please HELP
Better than the album version
Emo is back!
I swear I make up about half of views here, this is like crack to me. Sad angsty crack
How Is zildjian not sorting this man out?!!
Is their live tuning lower than the record?
Yes, I can't tell exactly how many pitches lower it is, but I compared it to the original and it's lower.
Lead singer looks abit like Freddy Mercury
😳
Why can't I see the bassist face?
Great recording. I don't get the appeal of shaky, whipping around camera work. Maybe its just one cameraman trying to capture all the action jumping around, don't know. Maybe i'm just getting old and crotchety. Thanks for the upload.

The heaviest Midwest Emo band?😂😂😂
Backup vocals
F*ck off
