The females aren't getting to the throne because Emperor Meiji or the great great great grandfather of Emperor Naruhito made a rule that only the firstborn son of the emperor could succeed to the throne
That's such an outdated way of thinking. She deserves the throne, not him. Why doesn't Japan look at past successful queens in the world,Queen Elizabeth 2 for the best example.
@@IvyPrincessKate Only The Meiji emperor could answer this question. I don't really know much but i think it's because of the inequality of genders around the time where the Meiji emperor lived. Though Japan had female emperors before, those are the times before the rule has been announced.
The rule is still here as the most sad part is that when princesses marry a commoner, they have to leave the imperial family. Leaving all their things. The imperial household will not bother them anymore.
The same thing also happened to Emperor Akihito/Emeritus Sisters.

Absolutely not. California kids don't even know if they are a boy or girl or cat or dog. Of course you would think a well behaved, mild mannered boy was abnormal. He has culture and carries himself with dignity unlike American kids.
