This old generation actually looks nicer than the new generation but the interior of the new one is far better, and the face lift of the new generation is cool.
The automatic air suspension does not “automatically compensate” while driving aggressively like the GM magnetic ride. The auto air suspension is speed based. If you are traveling at more than a certain speed (50 mph I think) it lowers the suspension and stiffens it to dynamic mode. When you travel at lower speeds it will be in comfort mode. If you exit highway and come to a stop you will notice the suspension raise the vehicle back up to comfort mode for more dampened driving at lower speeds.
A really great review! Shopping for one now, and this review has a ton of positives vs the negative reviews it seems to get from a handful of people. One of my fears/concerns was the fuel costs to operate. But your example shows an advantage, even if it doesn’t get 700+ miles per tank. With such a large tank you’ll fill up only half the time of a similar vehicle.
Well, I found the perfect deal in San Francisco, and I'm loving it! Had it shipped to Dallas a couple of weeks ago. 2014 TDI Prestige with only 33,278 miles on it. Super-duper extra clean! Thanks again for the great review. It really helped sell me on the car!
Great review, I have a 2012 ml 350 diesel its a rocket, looking into q7 this looks very nice any word on possible leaks? Or is maintenance solid? The ML diesel has NOT been the most reliable nox sensor 6k and 2 cylinder injectors
The new Q7 is actually bigger than the older one. I believe the length and width are similar but the new Q7 is actually taller. It doesn’t seem like it, but it is. And the new Q7 has a more spacious interior as well.
@johnnyv2076I’m glad you stated that because I was thinking the same thing😂 I could’ve sworn that I seen an article that made it clear that the new q7 is a little smaller
I just bought a 2011 with 40k miles for $21k. Original sticker new was $73k. Has all the upgrades, including B and O sound system, push button start, and running boards, but no adaptive cruise or air ride. Put 5k miles on it so far and Love it.
Pretty sure you can activate that feature with a VAG scanner like VCDS or obdeleven. The TDI is great but very expensive when it comes time for maintenance. Ive got the 4.2 V8 and its higher mileage (140k) but it has been non-stop chasing maintenance related problems. Mostly electrical and very hard to diagnose. These cars are not good for anybody that cant do their own work. You will go broke quickly taking this into a garage for service.
I think you should've do the One fuel tank challenge to see if it can do the work with only one tank but it should've be the 3.0 diesel to be more challenging
@@1badgt4 how would that be after cooler? 3.0 tdi has 2 small intercoolers on each side.. thay are in between turbocharger and engine.. So thay would be air coolers not intakes
+bestman81 That V12 look was an option on the V6 in the US because we only had the V6 diesel. The V8 and V12 diesels never made it to the US. We did get the V10 TDI about 10 years ago and those are very rare here.
+ChAbAr The Q7 is spectacular. And with all the different configurations and options, it's hard to fault one as loaded as this example. Production has ended, so it's self-evident that the design is going to change. Thanks for watching!
+Ato Nympha Here are two examples. Los Angeles: Diesel $2.799 vs 87 Octane $2.899 www.gasbuddy.com/Station/25390 Austin: Diesel $2.199 vs 93 Octane $2.689 www.gasbuddy.com/Station/79009 It depends on what you want to compare diesel to, since a 4-cylinder TDI competes with other gas cars that can run on 87 octane while 6-cylinder TDI models compete with vehicles that require premium 91-93 octane. Overall, a gallon of fuel is still cheaper than a gallon of milk.

This SUV is really the chairman of the board!

Such an awesome review. Thanks for showing this to us. I’d love to find one of these for my daily driver.
Just brought this very model today 11/01/2019 well pleased

I have a 2014 Audi Q7 TDI. It's an Awesome SUV, 80,000 miles and no problems.
The new Q7 is actually bigger than the older one. I believe the length and width are similar but the new Q7 is actually taller. It doesn’t seem like it, but it is. And the new Q7 has a more spacious interior as well.

this is it boys...
This truck is hard asf
2015 Q7 is not a touch on the replaced model! - Older Q7 much better - more agressive.
Just about to buy a 2015 Q7 I think. Gonna take my time to find the right spec. Any tips?
I’m shopping for that exact q7
How low do you think I can go? I’ve seen some for 35k
But that’s getting close to a nicely specd 2017 q7

#Will own one before 2050@Audi
One I dont see one for sale anymore. just premium once
Has the trailer assist feature made it to the US?

Don't they all have the wheel arch body kit
hows the cost of ownership? of this particular TDI i am in shopping in one of these
$0. Because you most likely won't be able to buy or register one after two years if there is no "fix."
I think you should've do the One fuel tank challenge to see if it can do the work with only one tank but it should've be the 3.0 diesel to be more challenging
us Americans love the big body.
What's your thoughts on the new Q7 ? Please make a video review of it.
+nakul singh I do have a review of the new Q7. Check out my channel and be sure to subscribe! Thanks for watching!
+Diesel Review oh yeah, i checked out. Thanks
I have one
have you reviewed yet any BMW diesels?
I'm working on it.
0:15 well that is an intercooler.. not air intake..
"after"cooler ... technically...
@@1badgt4 how would that be after cooler? 3.0 tdi has 2 small intercoolers on each side.. thay are in between turbocharger and engine..

NICE REVIEW i have this car mod2007
he said its a 3.0L but in US they get the body of the V12 version

Nothing to complain about the car really

how much it costs ? does any one knows ?
110k Euros that should be about 130k$ i think i just got mine a few days ago
The window sticker said $73K USD.
Not Tellinya hmm maybe its because of the interior.. my q7 does have the highest lvl off interior sry i dont know whats it called in english
Not Tellinya plus maybe this one is a second Hand car
He HAS the 2015 NEW CAR window sticker in his hand.... He is in USA, the car is $73,485 USD. check video at 1:28 .
Can you give the link to purchase this car?
I'm much interested
did u say v12 TDi?
Yes. V12 TDI, but it was never in the US. We did get a V10 TDI in the VW Touareg around 2008.
What the economy of the diesel v12. I wonder if it worth it since diesel is way expensive
+Ato Nympha Diesel is cheap. I'm not sure about the v12 fuel economy.
show me where diesel is cheap I will drive down there to fill up....anyway do you have any review on A8 Tdi?
