Combat Warriors: parrying concepts Disclaimer: none of these concepts are concrete, but are instead based on general instinct I have observed from experience. Enjoy :) We’ll go from simple to advanced. A common parry tactic is based on attack cooldown, as players may attack right after the attack cooldown ends. A big indication of players preparing to attack is jumping, as it is for some reason an instinct players have. So knowing this, refrain yourself from jumping when you swing your weapon. This concept can be used oppositely, where you bait players into parrying by jumping. Jumping can be also used to bait players to attack you once you land, allowing a parry opportunity. Keep in mind that every single one of these parry opportunities can be reversed and used as parry bait. A common parrying scenario I typically see from competent players is distraction bait. You make yourself look distracted, like when glory killing a player, or after a successful parry. The new parry victim would possibly assume you are not noticing them, and especially likely to attack because of the helpless player next to you. That is how those players can achieve those impressive parrying streaks, as players instinctively want to jump in and join the fight. At the same time, you can bait those parry gods into parrying if you understand this concept. There is a strategy where you run up to players and parry. This strategy works especially well against either very aggressive players, or any player who is determined to get the first hit. An example to use this on are those stationary dragon slayer users, who dash and attack you once you get in their range. An instinctive but risky phenomenon is when the opponent misses a parry, they will attack right away when their parry marker disappears. This parry opportunity has some risk as the opponent may not attack, so in general, only attempt to parry if you think the opponent is panicked, or is low on hit points. As a light weapon main, I have noticed a pattern in parrying. After every second swing, a surprisingly amount of players would attempt to parry on the third swing. This is probably caused by the reaction time of a lot of players. If you want to parry a light weapon user, it’s best to parry on the second swing, and it would catch a lot of light weapon users. Revenge is a great aspect in the game. After you score a hit on the opponent, appear to run away while staying within their dashing range, wait for around a second and an attack will be incoming that you can parry. The opponent attacks because they don’t want you to have the damage lead, and wants to win it back. When a bloodthirsty player on a rampage dies, their adrenaline is telling them to respawn immediately, and will attack the first living organism it sees. Any competent player who sees someone who spawns beside them like that would parry right away. However, of course, you could bait them into parrying like that and assert dominance. In addition, I want to give a honorable mention to the ghost potion. I feel like they are underrated for how strong they could be. The ghost potion not only gives you an advantage against unsuspecting players, it also freaks the opponent out. Your opponent would be so focused on trying to hit you and not getting hit, they might even forget you are able to parry, and so you can utilize that to your advantage. Understanding the concept is one thing, but can you apply it in your gameplay? I hope you learned something today.
its been so long since i wrote this video that i genuinely cant tell whether you transcribed what i was saying or if these are original thoughts. either way thank you (?)
When it to chainsaw, i tend to wait for the animation S key a bit and wait for the animation to start playing then i parry. It won't work all the time, but it gets them 8/10 times
LES GO ANOTHER BANGER FROM THE QUEEN HERSELF, really love the videos ❤ edit: I really love the editing and thumbnails! I would so die trying to edit something like this haha also thanks for the new skill unlocked achievement of “knowledge of parry”
TANKS !!! also yeah holy shit the editing took me like 2 full days from morning to night of editing. it was miserable but also the two fastest days of my entire life time so ?? time flies when ur trapped in davinci resolve i guess
There isn't much abt chainsaw here so ill write something down, Iv noticed that chainsaw users really like sliding towards their target while trying to swing at them, so what I'll recommend is to press the parry button when they're mid way through the slide. It wont work all the time but keep note how fast chainsaw regenerates so if you don't get it the first time maybe you could parry them the second time.
that is why weapons are practically useless, just use which one you like the most I guess Even with fists, if you hold slash and stomp it’s deadly when stunned by parry
As a level 165, i can confirm all the stuff about the heavy spectrum but it all comes from experience with timings tbh. (i cant parry for the life of me)
i dont think you should ever try parrying those people. honestly they deal less damage than i do when im using my heavy weapon so i usually just hit them really quickly and back off as fast as i can so they only get 1 hit on me and then i keep doing that till they die. hopefully, that makes sense.
this was pretty helpful tbh, im definitely gonna use these in fights and also could you do a movement guide? itd be really helpful since my movement isnt really great
i run. or i try to draw one out at a time but generally fighting in crowds is a terrible idea and its just better to either hold the s key and maybe try and ego for like a quadruple parry or something
sorry for the late response, but thanks for the advice. I see people just pretty much run away till someone is dumb enough to fight them. parrying a person who went immediately out of a crowd is pretty easy, because (from experience) they still have that sort of 'adrenaline' rush because of so many people attacking them, so they still have that muscle memory of parrying when two or more people come at them.
hello i started playin combat warriors and can you please do some tips and tricks please? I really wanna get a good heavy weapon.i keep getting killed by pepole with ligth weapons like sickle:(

i kind of forgot xbox players existed when i wrote the script, but i think all of the stuff i mentioned should work fine on xbox, as long as the game lets you kick or equip and unequip your weapon. i don't know xbox controls, but if people can make complicated ass fighting game inputs on xbox, i'm sure that trying to parry bait/parry on xbox probably isnt that difficult
I swear i parry well and yet they dont fall for it like those light spammer idiots. Wouldnt peoples Internet affect Just like does with things like hitbox?
if you’re asking if internet connection affects whether your parry will hit or not, it absolutely does. if the person you’re fighting has bad connection, they could have a really odd hitbox that might miss you when it looks like it hit, or it might hit you when it looks like they missed. if you have bad connection, your parry will come out a lot later than it’s supposed to. sometimes bad ping just messes up your parries unfortunately
this time. This time I will keep my hand off the parry button. And use parry bait instead. Knowing that this will get me practice, I will keep my finger off the parry button. Edit: Im crying. I don’t know what to do. It’s so hard :(
