the scariest aspect for a lot of photographers is that ‘mid-range’ is 3k euros for the body only ….
Can't take people serious that are disappointent with this camera. This thing is the best in class at everything and above competitors with it's performance in photo and video mode. The price will come down over time or there will be a trade-in or cash-back. Too much complains about nothing.

The camera came with excellent specs for video. However, the 6k open gate was missing, just like the Lumix S5II.

My D5200 had a flip screen…about time it returned….
My wife always missed the flippy screen on my D5200 and complained with all of my Nikons thereafter.

The NEX studio and Imaging cloud services sound very very interesting too me... Please allow these for the ZF (and others for that matter)... There should be no reason why given both have the Expend 7 processors...
Nikon will most likely test this new feature on the z6iii first, limit it to that body to gain good insight and feedback on the user-experience, performance of the application, etc. Then hopefully after this we could have it available on the Zf, Z8, Z9. Would be nice indeed.
On the other hand, they might use it as a differentiator between the models and videography vs stills bodies….hopefully not though.

Probably no reason why it cannot be rolled out in a later FW update, I would imagine the Expeed 7 processor having more than enough capability, considering the features of the Z9, specifically. Provided there is enough onboard memory to run this application, we might see it at some point.
How's the banding, when shooting outside at high shutter speeds and using flash for dramatic photos? The Z8 is awful with banding.
surely better, as the Z6III has a mechanical shutter. One reason i go for the Z6III than Z8 or 9.

Why do camera manufacturers resist adding even simple anti-theft measures to their devices? Near £4K for an easily stolen, easily resold device…even cheap smartphones have pin locks.
Please allow Sigma to produce Z-muont lenses. I'm a fan of Nikon, but I was forced to buy the Sony FX3 because I love their compact ultra-wide Sony FE 14mm lens. The ease of carrying compact gear while doing video travel filmmaking

They're more flexible plastic v rubber, but tend to warp in heat over over time. Well actually most of the camera is also plastic too! Guess they wanted to make it fit in!

@@debarghyasenguptaphotoandfilms They're just cheap port covers (I have same ones on a few cameras) If they were hinged they might hold up better, but these days it's all about saving a few pennies I'm afraid

Ich hatte mir eine Z8 in klein erhofft aber davon ist die Z6III meilenweit entfernt. Das ist eine Kamera für Videografen aber nicht für den ambitionoerten Fotografen! Davon mal abgesehen stimmen Preis/Leistung überhaupt nicht. 3000 Euro???
Actually a small Z8 seems a very good description. Better in some areas (EVF, buffer, 1080p 240). Basically a Z8 with 24MP sensor.

The wildlife part is bogus.....should try with other wildlife photographer rather than model
„outperform“ the only thing you outperform is the competition pricing and product strategy. The R6ii you get for 1999 chf with a 3-year warranty and is well placed in the lineup. Now look at you? Z8 offered to me 3 weeks ago fir 3200 chf. the z6iii at 3000 and likely the future z5ii will be 2500 chf. foolish people at Nikon.
No improvement in focussing in flash dominated environments. Still doesn't send an AF assist signal to a mirrorless compatible flash (which Nikon still hasn't released). Flippy screen incompatible with L brackets. I'll pass on this iteration.

@@pablotedesco2498 Pablo, unless translate has misunderstood, I prefer my pictures in focus? I'm talking about difficulties in focussing in near darkness and using flash where the exposure set on the camera is different from the ambient exposure. Such conditions are encountered in studio lighting and events work. None of Nikon's mirrorless cameras have made progress here so far, it looks like the III is no different.
