Join me and see what it's like to find your new baby mule out in the fields when you least expect it. It is a wonderful experience to be a rancher and find one chromed up colt after another hidden in the grasses
Our hard work to produce these fine crops of outstanding gaited mule colts started 8 years ago when we acquired Missouri Traveler MyAss. It has continued as we populate our brood mare heard with the finest well bred gaited mares we can acquire. The program regenerates itself each time a mare drops her precocious cargo in a special hiding place for us to search out.

Bob, you made a video where you ask your daughter to do complete the "First Human Touch" on a new Molly Mule baby; she was excellent at what you had taught her. She approached the Mom and Baby quietly, spoke softly, gently caressing Baby, patting and hugging her, then moving away to stand at a little distance from the newborn. A couple minutes later, the little Molly Mule noticed your daughter and headed to her on wobbly, crooked legs. It has been witnessed by everyone who has seen that video and this one.
In this 09/12/2012 video you were in a hurry after you reached the Mom. It's too bad that you couldn't slow down and treat that new Baby like you had taught your daughter was the best way: quietly, slowly, respect Mom and being very gentle with Baby. Loudness for the camera and pressure on the newborn obviously scared the little girl and frightened her Mom, who tried to get between you. That was six years ago; I hope things have settled down for you so that finding the newborns is a more relaxing time.

I stop watching after I thought too much pressure was being put on the mother and colt. I could have handled it much more gently and being OK to come back another day.
