Just to be clear: Robert Yeoman changes his style to suit the movies he shoots. The goal of this video and article is to drum up enthusiasm and a yearning to learn more.
Think of it as a tribute, nothing more is intended.

Thank you again for another very interesting analysis.
In that video you mentioned the ''80's Cinematography style''.
So, instead of asking for the analyses of a Cinematographer I would love to watch some analyses of decades or cinema mouvements. Like the 60's or Italian Neo-Realism.
Best regards,
Bruno

a few cinematographers I think you should do:
Ernest Dickerson
Ellen Kuras
Greg Tolland
Bruno Delbonnel
Bradford Young
and Raoul Cotard. Dickerson did Do The Right Thing. Kuras did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Tolland did Citizen Kane. Delbonnel did Inside Llewellyn Davis. Young did Selma. and Coutard did Breathless.
i'd love to hear your take on film noir master John Alton
great channel
Raoul Coutard. He did a lot of important work with Godard and Truffaut, you should do a video of him!
To see you breaking down the works of Andrey Tarkovsky would be amazing. Thank you!
I can recommend Sculpting in Time, an excellent look into the mind of a genius.
I would love to see an analysis of Claudio Miranda's work!
I like what you're doing, keep it up.
As always great! Please cover Dean Semler. Also could you cover different lights used in features and the reasons- pros and cons of each? Lastly starter indy gear kit - maybe Kessler, Zacuto, Movi/DJI , Sachtler, etc.... Thank you!

I have a random question about a DP's beginnings... are there any DPs who have started as script supervisors? I was one once, and always wondered why I have never heard of a super becoming a DP.

Hey Can u you make video on Indian Cinematographer Santosh Sivan?. He has also shot some Hollywood Movies.

I wonder why you haven't told anything about his composition, a lot of is shots are symmetrical and that's also something he is known for. Cinematography isn't all about lighting right? Nevertheless great analysis, love all these vids :)
That's the director's responsibility. Thanks!
Didn't know that, thanks!
Do Hiro Murai

please could you do one for Vilmos Zsigmond
Sure!
+wolfcrow Thanks kudos on the channel
hi wolfcrow! could you do lee pin bing please? thanks!:)
I find his work with Feig not quite as good as his other works but that comes down to Feig's bland visual style, in my opinion.
Yeah, if i didn't check the crew list i wouldn't believe it.
When he is not working with Wes Anderson, Robert Yeomen's style is really basic
ikr
Seamus McGarvey ASC BSC!
Bill Pope could do with one of these videos. And Robert Burks.
how about the talented DP Bradford Young; Aint them Body Saints, Selma, Most violent year.....to name a few.
Which movie/video is that one with David Bowie?
The Linguini Incident
He didn't shoot The Prestige, Pfister did. Don't confuse people.
Forgot to mention, great video, nonetheless.
Thanks!
Larry Fong.
Sure!
The only good thing on the new Ghostbusters is Robert Yeomen's cinematography
