"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me." (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
Music for the People: ask GOD for guidance and then You will know where to go. I tried it for a long time too but it just did not work and I always felt like lost. But now I know where to go and what to do ever since I asked him to guide me. May GOD bless you. Regards.
I took my hat off every time I watch videos of Diana Ross. @premedog; you are right, nobody like Diana Ross, she is an worldwide icon for many generations in music, she's more than a Diva I think
I think people have always underestimated Diana as a vocalist, because they think she had such great backups with the Supremes...but her voice is something special, it's so effortless and flawless in delivery...she's one of those rare vocalists where the music is there FOR HER....hard to explain what I mean by that, except that she's the part of nature that makes music natural
A TIMELESS CLASSIC AND SO TRUTHFUL IT HURTS. SO, IF ANYONE HAS SAID THEY DON'T LIKE THIS SONG/VIDEO , THEY JUST DON'T LIKE HOW SAD THE ANSWERS TO THOSE QUESTIONS CAN BE......AND THAT'S THE TRUTH....PHETHEHEHSSS ( RASPBERRY )
lassley, you said it so right...just one and only Miss Ross...I did saw her concert in Providence, Rhode Island...she did touched your soul...incredible feeling...
This is when singers sound just like the records...Bravo! Plus, it shows that singers don't have to do all those fancy tricks with their voice to give a stellar performance.
this song was actually written for me and with me. I would sit by a burning fire in the fireplace listening while Michael worked on this song. Later when we no longer were seeing each other I ran into him at MoTown recording studios whilst he was producing it for Diana Ross. He found her to be very stressful.
she certainly does, there will never be another diana ross, stars like her only come around once in a very long time, someone allready said that when he dies there will be 2 things hell miss 1 is life the other is miss ross,me to.
Oh my God she sings like an Angel and i love her voice and her pronounce. She sings so wonderful and this song makes remeber some god times on 70's.....
This is the theme song from the movie "Mahagony" that Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams played in. This song is sung soo wonderfully by Ms Ross. It reminds you of standing on a mountain top with the wind blowing in your face and just relishing in the bliss of the moment.
Ratseno, Bravo (clapping) well said. IMHO - It's so true this was a time your voice and talent made you the star. I miss real singers like this. There are still great singers but the radio is not really playing them and the videos are few and far between. Please start listening to the real art in the music again people... Then maybe we, the fans can get back to the heart & soul of the music. We don't need to dummy down or water down the industry anymore. Live should be solid performances
WHAT LADY! AMAZING VOICE AND WORDS....THEREFORE, IT IS CALLED MAHOGANY AS THE FIGURED MAHOGANY OF FINE WOOD OF THE FINEST GUITARS OUT THERE....VERY BEAUTIFUL MRS. DIANA CAN'T BELIEVE THAT IT IS SO AMAZING...I COULD JUST CRY ALONG WITH THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE AND THE LYRICS...DO YOU KNOW?
What a beautiful singer along with just a beautiful person. I had the pleasure of seeing Ms Ross in concert once. Believe it or not, the tickets were free from where my brother in law worked. My wife and I went and what I enjoyable time we had. Ms Ross put on a fabulous show. My favorite entertainer of all time is CHER; however, Diana Ross ranks right up there along with Cher. They are both beautiful women with beautiful voices.
one of the kind..chosen ... amazing singer and a vocalist with amazing deepness....wish all the new young shallow singers these days could learn from her...
I had the great experience to hear and see her live at Ceasars Palace with a table upfront in 1984. This is a woman I prefer to call Dame - she has never failed for us as an audience - I admire her so so much and will always do! Thank you strong wonderful sexy woman
This is a very good song sung by the excellent songstress Diana Ross. Her voice is special it is not very high in volume but she really gets me everytime I hear that sensual, feminine and deep sounding voice which has the ability of making one feel what she sings.
Doolie, I watched it! It was Diane 12 years ago! You got 12 years less of vocal deterioration than you would get today! I think that it was a diplomatic ploy on my friend's part to shrug his shoulders. He is 41 years old and probably has only been exposed to Diane as a solo act. He also goes home to the UK and/or Spain each summer. He knows where I stand on her............he may not have wanted to go "there" with me! Doolie, most people are not as passionate on the subject as we are!
This is a beautiful song and it does make u wonder. Cuz sometimes u think ur going one way and then u take awrong turn. Stay on course stay focus keep ur eyes on God foe He will lead and guide u along the path..Amen
Do you know where you're going to ? . Singed by ( Miss Diana Ross ) .We the class of (1982 ) and students of (Spalding High school ) , singed this song as the opening Sara money of Graduation night . This song sounded good back in the days and it still sounds good these days .
there have been a lot of people in the industry who have had a lot of jealousies and bitterness towards diana jealousy is a horrible thing, but miss ross has always risen above it all,the woman has one of the greatest voices ever, period, she does not possess the power of an aretha but that does not make her a lesser singer, her voice is truly unique and thats what makes a great singer, todays singers all sound the same to me
I was 14, watched this and left for my first date. 43 years went by and it was never easy, but I still smile when I hear this song (the date was terrible, I was too young for dating anyways :))
I was born1980 I watched the Mahogany movie and fell in love with Diana,I would only hope to B half of what she is! Diana is very talented I'm glad to have an opportunity to understand
Do you know where you're going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you Where are you going to? Do you know? Do you get What you're hoping for When you look behind you There's no open door What are you hoping for? Do you know? Once we were standing still in time Chasing the fantasies That filled our minds You knew how I loved you But my spirit was free Laughin' at the questions That you once asked of me Do you know where you're going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you Where are you going to? Do you know? Now looking back at all we've planned We let so many dreams Just slip through our hands Why must we wait so long Before we'll…
This song touches the soul... captivates in way that makes you think about things... words really can't describe how it makes me feel (and I know it can't be just me).. The bridge of this song gives me hope that I will someday find true love... Just like Billy Dee said in this film, "success is nothing without someone you love to share it with"... Shoot... life is nothing in someways without someone to share it with.
Diana came along at a time when black female entertainers wasn't suppose to be glamorous and beautiful..But she showed the world what glamor and class was all about. THE INDUSTRY WAS IN AWE OF HER. SHE REALLY DID IT AND ALL THESE NEWCOMERS BETTER BE THANKFUL FOR ALL THE BARRIERS SHE BROKE DOWN....
Seeing her and listening to her songs can relax you and even give you goose bumps, I guess co'z of the memories the songs bring back to me and maybe to others too. All in all, this woman is a Fantastic performer
Love love love it!!! She sounds so amazing here, and this is such a haunting song. I miss these years, when so much hope and promise, i.e. movies, lied ahead for Miss Ross. She was a great natural actress, who should've had a major movie career. Then even her singing career fell into an abyss, and I never understood why this happened either.
EXACTLY kurtsupreme....most people AREN'T passionate about the subject as we are! That's why you trying to bring down Diana is equal to you bringing down the Supremes! For MOST, they're the same. I was blown away that a good friend of mine (that is almost 40) didn't even know that the Supremes went on without Diana. I say that to say that Diana IS the one that keeps the Supremes alive. Her voice is THEIR sound. Sure it doesn't sound the same, but honestly...who's checking for 65 yr olds in pop?
Kenhamlett2 While Diane is still quite capable of enchanting an audience with her stage presence, "Ross razzle dazzle," the swirling Motown arrangements, and the phony Supremes providing the vocal support, her vocal prowess is limited today. Even though she may bring back memories and you may be enthralled in her presence, the "old gal" can no longer sing. I stand by that comment......Diane's voice is indeed..SHOT! Her voice is hoarse and deeper and she has to scream to hit certain notes.
This is one the greatest songs of all time sang by the most beautiful angle
DIANA ROSS.
What an attractive mama she is. ❤️
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER DIANA ROSS
You are the Lady of ladies... And I love your work. I grew up with you and UUUU are the person I had in mind as i conquered my down falls so thank you
Hypnotic. Gorgeous. In every way. This is how come Miss Ross became a superstar.
I still don't know where I am going after all these years.
😄😄lol

Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you
Where are you going to?
Do you know?
Do you get
What you're hoping for
When you look behind you
There's no open door
What are you hoping for?
Do you know?
Once we were standing still in time
Chasing the fantasies
That filled our minds
You knew how I loved you
But my spirit was free
Laughin' at the questions
That you once asked of me
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you
Where are you going to?
Do you know?
Now looking back at all we've planned
We let so many dreams
Just slip through our hands
Why must we wait so long
Before we'll…
