Thanks so much for a great garden tour today. Always love coming by and seeing what you’re sharing your garden is looking fabulous. See you in the next video my dear friend.
Beautiful natural looking garden, its the bees knees. We have had rain on and off for the last six weeks here in Ireland and we watered the flowerbeds for the first time last Saturday. We have only had to water the containers twice a week. We have a lot of drought tolerant perennials in the containers and the flowerbeds.
It is amazing to note how drought tolerant some plants are! I grew up in central California and we had to depend on tough plants. We did not have Japanese beetles though 😖
Oh gosh, I’m not sure how I just realized you are in Fuquay!!!! (I found your vids a few weeks ago) We’re in Holly Springs! And yes, it is SO freaking dry here. 😭 It’s killing me to run the sprinkler.
I hate how dry it's been, too! I just checked yesterday to see if we're under water restrictions yet (we're not), but with no rain even in the 10 day, I can't imagine we won't be soon. I've been trying to water deeply so I can do it less often, but the annuals really do need a bit more.
It really is stressful looking ahead 10 days and no chance for rain. It is shaping up to be really rough. I feel like our best chance sadly will be hurricane season. If this continues into mid July I am going to dig up my annuals and containers and focus on keeping shrubs and perennials alive this summer.
Hi Brie!. I was wondering which mangave overwintered . I am just north of you in the west raleigh suburbs. I recently discovered Laura Eubanks's channel. She is in San Diego. She is a succulent landscape designer and also an exceptional person. Between Laura, you and the dry weather, I am seriously considering putting in at least some succulent cotainers.
Oh I’ll have to follow her! The variety that overwintered was…. I think man of steel but I’m not 100%. I got it with no label. But it’s really awesome!
Are your cucumbers in the pond pot elevated or on the ground? If the latter, Does the good aeration from the holes in the pond pot enough to prevent root knot nematodes?
I think those pots were kept on concrete tiles, in few videos Brie mentioned that nematode infestation from ground soil will not reach the containers if there is some barrier.

Excited to see you are speaking at the GMGA conference in October!!
Me too! That’s going to be fun!
I think I see my favorite plant bulbinella! It grew all over the front steps to my accommodation and I used it for sunburns :)
Yes!!!!!

Blueberry toothpaste probably wouldn’t be a big seller. 😂
Exactly!

That’s actually a very reasonable plan.

@@BrieThePlantLady I think you will like Laura. She is very talented and experienced. Her designs are beautiful.
