  • Pneumatic Nailers will eventually leak. This one did and the fix is quite easy

Thank you so much! I had two older brothers that would never let me slide on things. They figured if I watch them do a thing… I should be able to figure out how to do it myself. I credit them.

This video was a huge help! Thank you!!
My version of this nail gun has a screw in trigger valve using a 5/16 nut driver

I remove the pins and connected it to 20 psi air hose and it blew the trigger right out

I must have an older gun. My trigger valve has 2 roll pins. Once I got the second one out I was able to use a paint can opener like you showed. My trigger was sticking in the open position, disassembled the trigger valve (2 more small rolls pins) and lubricated the o-rings. works fine now. Thanks for the helpful video!

Thanks! This was exactly what I needed to know, now that the piston bumper has been replaced. It's nice to see another woman with a nail gun.

Perfect. After the roll pins are out you can attach the gun to the airline and the trigger valve will pop out with some force. Gun up and running again in no time.

I just bought a Porter Cable DA250C 15 gauge angled nailer for a crown molding project in my home. I came across your great videos and wanted to say THANK YOU! Question: You have talked about adding oil to prevent rusting. A) What type? B) What if the manufacturer says it's "oil free?" Thanks for the encouragement! Mark in Utah

I would read through the instruction fully to make doubly sure. The Porter Cable came with a small bottle of oil and you are supposed to put a couple of drops in where you attach the air hose (since compressed air has a high moisture content you would want to coat the inside of the nailer with oil before it could be coated with moisture.) I now use SENCO Pneumatic Tool Oil. Thank you for your complement too!

Any idea how to get this trigger off? Your video was great except my porter cable is not the exact same model, so the trigger is a little bit different. I cannot crack the code on this one! FC350B

One guy told me to remove the roll pin and then put it onto the compressor which the air should cause it to pop out.

Was that a wrench you used for a hammer? Use a tack hammer for delicate jobs like this. Don't advocate the misuse of tools.

Good video but you never showed how the spring goes in and what keeps it in.

Your other video shows you fixing a Porter Cable DA250B. Title in this video says FR350. You have 2 (very similar) nail guns?

Yes....One is a finish nailer and one is a framing nailer.

I have a DA250A where the trigger assembly is threaded. Where can I get the replacement]
    part?

I was wondering where you managed to buy that part. Looking online, all I see is "Trigger Valve Assembly (Not Threaded)". Is that it?
