I appreciate small content creators, and a lot of times pop in on random suggestions of small stuff and check it out. I see you are a Tom McDonald fan. So am I. But I am a trained musician, artist and writer myself, si I am going to give my homest opinon of this video. It is not very good, bu I like Tom McDonald and he and his girlfriend have written and produced some good videos. The message is good, but it is delivered in one of his most cliche and unoriginal videos. You said he is getting better at guitar. Look at the strumming. Just by the way he is attempting to look like he knows how to play makes me cringe, just moving up and down lazily to a obvious wrist movement back-stringing complex strum pattern. THe ONLY original line in the song is the oil sands one. The video. Oof. All of it had been done before, the bomb in the back, unimaginative. The melody is horrible. he has a cute voice, not a good one, and there are still some signs of autotune. I still like him, but I watched after the first ten seconds bracing myself for all kinds of trope cringe. I was dissapointed because I was not dissapointed.
