Janice Long passes away (1955 - 2021) (UK) - BBC News - 26th December 2021

Tributes paid after trailblazing BBC radio DJ Janice Long dies at 66 after a short illness. She died yesterday and her birthday was last April. For those of you that might recognise or think she is familiar in another way dace and voicer perhaps, she was the older sister of Keith Chegwin, who died in 2017 aged 60. Both Janice and Keith were both infectiously cheerful, which many people will remember. This is the longer report and tribute from Carol Kirkwood the next morning.

Used to regularly listen to Janice's late night music show on Radio 2. Like other listeners i'd even get the occasional on air reply to texts sent to the show. Janice was fun friendly company for me and so many regulars on those nights. Feel i've lost a friend i never met. Rest in peace Janice and thank you, Andy in Brighton.

I used to watched top of the pops with Janice long in 1983 when I'm a teenager also I see her with her two children at the Bull ring shopping centre in Birmingham she a great radio DJ presenter sadly missed RIP 🙏🏻
