I'm surprised you didn't get charged the tourist tax at the Hotel Planas, as it's chargeable per the Catalan authorities. For a 3* hotel, the price is €0.60 per night, plus 10% VAT chargeable for the first 7 nights only, regardless of the length of stay. Barcelona has a higher tourist tax rate, with the rest of Catalonia charging the same rate as what you've been charged there in Salou. For 4* hotels it's €1.32 per night (this includes the VAT), and 5* is €3.30 per night which includes the VAT. These are also chargeable for the first 7 nights. If you move establishments though, you'd have to pay the first 7 nights again.
Kevin Kevin Kevin there is a simple solution I've being doing it for over 40 years as have millions of others it's called a Travel iron and the latest ones are so compact and they do the job very well i never travel anywhere without one .invest in one Kevin David😂😊
@@ScotsmaninTenerife Kevin i only travel with the smallest bag allowed which has no charge and make room for it plus no longer a travel kettle but an element the size of your finger for making Tea i would not leave home without those two items you have to wash your clothes when your out there there's no need to take a lot but you have to be organized.
