That crowd was appalling, why are they even there? Zero reaction to punchlines, zero reaction to busy multi-syllable rhyme schemes. You know a crowd is bad when the opposing rapper has to clap a punchline first.

Watch the blog and you will realize why it took time. We actually recovered this 4-5 days before the math vs pat battle was scheduled to be released and was Asked to wait until after that. We did NOT at ANY point tell anyone that it wasn´t coming out, we said "we are working on it and spending money on having it recovered". Hopefully now you will understand that we didn't try to make anyone look bad.

There needs to be a rematch for 3 reasons, 1.) This was in Sweden, every punchline and bar flew over the crowds heads, which is understandable when English isn't your first language. 2.) The footage is lost and 3.) Shotty and Pat are both huge battlers, easily top 5 and this would be one of the best matchups considering their style plus they deserve a big audience. I would pay to see them even spit the same bars.

Pat actually addressed this in an interview or a battle. I forget. But the league owner told him the footage was fucked up and it wouldn't be released. So instead of wasting those bars he re used them. I don't blame him lol

A quick note! Battle rappers have to "STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR CRAFT WITHOUT RELYING ON THE PRESENT CROWD". Also remember "THE INHOUSE CROWD is NOT the ONLY crowd!!!" If the inhouse crowd isn't feeling you the UA-cam CROWD MAY BE DIFFERENT. Perform for the UA-cam crowd, STAY FOCUSED without being intimidated by the lack of response from the inhouse audience. Their "oohs and aaahs" may help BUT you can end up winning the battle from responses by the youtube audience. STAY FOCUSED !!!

He was Not told that it wasn't coming out. He was told that we was working on it and spending money on recovering the files. We did not tell anyone that it wasn't coming out, that would have been tricking them into the situation we are in now.

It's because he didn't think this footage would ever be released because he was told the hard drive with the footage crashed. Anyone else would've done the same thing as long as the bars were nice, which they were.

I didn't perform in this battle, Im speaking about us as a platform and the reason i did the blog in the first place is about the presentation, the failure in footage etc, that effects the clip and the entertainment as a whole. Not the performance. And you´re not even qouting right.
If you spoke swedish you would find a bunch of clips more entertaining than this on our channel. We have never had a goal of being an international league either, we've just had a few battles like that.

I say fair play to Bassmentality for putting out what they had and for being honest about what happened. It's unfortunate, but these things happen there's nothing you can do. Critical and the rest of the Swedish guys have spent a lot of time an money on their league and they've put on some really big international batles over the last few years so people shouldn't be too quick to hate them for one battle which went wrong.

Yes, I was referring to his 1 performance but felt it more appropriate to say "1 hit wonder" instead of "1 performance wonder." It isn't even about the accent. I actually like his accent. I've been rooting for him since the Arsonal battle, but like I said... I have not been impressed with any of his battles post Arsonal. My ears are wide open.

All of you talking about Pat Stay recycling bars, it's for a reason. He wrote some bars he was really feeling, but then he was told that none of this battle would come out because of the HD crashing. So instead of only a small room of Swedes hearing them, he wanted everyone to.

Pat knew he had used bars though so that can't be your fault.... Generally I am happy with this video, the reasoning is sound and at least we got something out of it.
