I used to be angry and depressed, and every time I saw someone with a huge smile on their face, I would always get even more angry than I was before, but as time went on, I realized now that the people who put a smile on their face before were just being themselves, and not caring what other people thought about them. I love the fact that I can now look at the people who do that sort of thing and be happy because they're happy, and not feel sorry for myself because I am "unhappy". I know people who want others' to feel just as bad as they do need prayer and love in their lives, and we should do just that :) that is what us Christians are here for -- to be the light of the world God has called us to be!

Carlos I support a daddy vlog 100%. While it's true that the mother experiences the most changes physically, a father goes through many changes emotionally and mentally along with the mother. And even like you said, that helpless feeling when you couldn't make Alexa feel better in the early months. That pain is real and something I'm sure many expectant fathers experience. And how about the insecurities that pop up, that natural fear of "Wow I'm gonna be a dad and what if I screw it up?" Men are just as affected by all these changes as women are, your entire lives are changing and nothing will ever be the same again. I beg you, please make a daddy vlog for dudes. So so many first-time dads would benefit from that.

And I distanced myself from God and just got caught up in what everyone else wanted to see. I got caught up in just silencing my inner emotions and thoughts. Then end up falling on my face because I don't speak up enough.
My baby was 9 pound and 14 ounces at birth and he was born at 38 weeks. Now he is 3 months old and weighs 17 pounds!! So I know all about having a big boy! I absolutely love y'alls vlogs. Words of wisdom is my favorite part! Please keep them coming!😊💙

My husband and I collect our cruise cards also! We put them in baseball card sheets that way we have them organized and can look at them anytime we want.
I am just like lex. I am a people pleaser, I don't like conflict. But I am a Sunday school teacher and when every I am in that position I am no longer a people pleaser and if a godly topic comes up I not worried about conflict because I am pleasing God. I am learning how to be bold in my daily life when it comes to friends, family and etc. when God is directly involved I am bold in what God wants for me.

I have a lot of big decisions to make, many of my own plans have fallen apart before, and it is easy to become afraid of figuring out what I want if it may slip through my fingers. God’s plans are always so much better. Sometimes it is tough to wait for God’s answers and provisions in this culture of "everything needs to happen instantly and all on your own". That is why faith and trust are so important. We must fully trust that God knows what He is doing beyond our own understanding. He gave us desires and passions for a reason. We should dream big dreams. Then seek the Lord's will in all things.

I feel you, Alexa. My husband was absolutely horrible the first months of pregnancy. I thought I hated him at one point. I was sick until 20 weeks as well so that didn't help. Luckily, he is a great father and does so much. Our son is still a terrible sleeper at 18 months and as I speak my husband is up and down the stairs calming him while I'm relaxing in my room watching this vlog : ) Although not an excuse, men cannot understand how hard pregnancy is.

I enjoy when she has the camera alone because we can hear what she wants to say without interruption. I hope you take this as constructive criticism. She deserves to be heard just as much as you do, and she should be allowed to tell her stories in her own voice and at her own speed.

Lex, I think trying to please everyone else is something we are told and taught early on that it's what women do. The men take the lead, make the decisions and we enable them. My dad was 20 yrs older than my mom and he grew up in an era where that's the way things were and so I grew up the same way. Problem with that is I'm 48, 8 yrs divorced and I'm STILL trying to please everyone else and I have ZERO clues about what I want and/or need. I never realized, until you said this, but how can God give me what I need and want if I don't even know what that is to even ask? I've given so much of myself away to everyone else that there isn't anything left for myself and what that has gotten me is poverty and me having to live in my 15 yr old car, that is going to die sooner rather than later, at the end of this month with my two service dogs. Listening to your words of wisdom and the resulting, subsequent realization... I know it's Devine intervention trying to save me from the path I am on now. I have no idea how to start though. I have to believe that He is giving me enough time to change my fate. Make sure Ocean goes to bed at like 7 or 8 their whole life and they will get used to that. I know I LOVE going to sleep at 8 now and I am 14 because my mom made me go to bed when I was little that early. Your kid will enjoy it and never be tired and make better grades than other people who only get 3 hours of sleep. I just want the best for y'all ❤️

Alexa, that is so funny you say that about woman being strong. I often times feel like I have to put up this front when I'm out alone doing something or I'm around a person who may seem a bit intimidating. I used to do that because i wanted to seem strong and that I can handle myself and I won't be taken advantage of. It's sad that women can often feel like that. I used to get piercings, tattoos, and change my hair color so people would know not to "mess" with me but you are exactly right. Since then, I have stopped all of that but it's something I try to work. Just being my self and happy shows that I can be strong, I don't need to act a certain to show that!
You could make a shadow box for all of your cruise cards. Or just a collage to hang on the wall. Memories! I'm making them for both of my kids. So just an idea

It reminded me of the Full house episode where Jesse was talking about not knowing how it felt and Becky went out and got that belly like strap thing. I don't know what it's called but it's like what they have in maternity shops for the "pregnant" manicquins. And Becky got that so Jesse would know what it felt like to be carrying a child. Maybe Lex should get one of those for Carlos so he can experience the feeling of having a belly too... That's just an idea?

Lex, I think trying to please everyone else is something we are told and taught early on that it's what women do. The men take the lead, make the decisions and we enable them. My dad was 20 yrs older than my mom and he grew up in an era where that's the way things were and so I grew up the same way. Problem with that is I'm 48, 8 yrs divorced and I'm STILL trying to please everyone else and I have ZERO clues about what I want and/or need. I never realized, until you said this, but how can God give me what I need and want if I don't even know what that is to even ask? I've given so much of myself away to everyone else that there isn't anything left for myself and what that has gotten me is poverty and me having to live in my 15 yr old car, that is going to die sooner rather than later, at the end of this month with my two service dogs. Listening to your words of wisdom and the resulting, subsequent realization... I know it's Devine intervention trying to save me from the path I am on now. I have no idea how to start though. I have to believe that He is giving me enough time to change my fate. THANK YOU!!!! and God Bless you both for letting Him speak through you. ❤💚💜💙💛

Make sure Ocean goes to bed at like 7 or 8 their whole life and they will get used to that. I know I LOVE going to sleep at 8 now and I am 14 because my mom made me go to bed when I was little that early. Your kid will enjoy it and never be tired and make better grades than other people who only get 3 hours of sleep. I just want the best for y'all ❤️

Alexa, that is so funny you say that about woman being strong. I often times feel like I have to put up this front when I'm out alone doing something or I'm around a person who may seem a bit intimidating. I used to do that because i wanted to seem strong and that I can handle myself and I won't be taken advantage of. It's sad that women can often feel like that. I used to get piercings, tattoos, and change my hair color so people would know not to "mess" with me but you are exactly right. Since then, I have stopped all of that but it's something I try to work. Just being my self and happy shows that I can be strong, I don't need to act a certain to show that!
You could make a shadow box for all of your cruise cards. Or just a collage to hang on the wall. Memories! I'm making them for both of my kids. So just an idea

When Carlos was talking about not knowing how it feels... It reminded me of the Full house episode where Jesse was talking about not knowing how it felt and Becky went out and got that belly like strap thing. I don't know what it's called but it's like what they have in maternity shops for the "pregnant" manicquins. And Becky got that so Jesse would know what it felt like to be carrying a child. Maybe Lex should get one of those for Carlos so he can experience the feeling of having a belly too... That's just an idea?
