Can you make a how to video on water harvesting for livestock use, from a spring, culvert or creek harvest the water and fill a water tank so water can then be used at troughs for livestock strip graze watering
Simon, generally for a system like that, folks will fill a high dam (pond) with water, and then either run a simple syphon down to a header tank and fill troughs from that - for running from a creek, you'll still need to pump the water (could be a solar pump) to a header tank (ie a water tank that sits high in your landscape) and then syphon from there - this kinda thing: ua-cam.com/video/AWTb0nk51MM/v-deo.html
Sorry Justin, that bit was especially for folks who turned up to the live session (we had two, so two versions of the Q&A). Are you on our newsletter list? You'll get alerts about any of these we're hosting, so you can come along live if you like :)
I live in Arizona. I have a flat white roof covered with white rubber paint. my home is built in 1974. my gutters are steel or aluminum and are painted. do you think it would be ok to put in inground swimming pool? it is chorinated by chemicals.
Hi Vic, if you're wanting to divert the water into your swimming pool.. we'd say go for it. But make sure you don't overfill the swimming pool, causing the chlorinated water to overflow.
@@jasonmeanshealer recommend you look into simple but very effective compost toilet designs - Joe Jenkin's site and books are excellent - humanurehandbook.com/
@@Milkwood hey, it’s for my outdoor recording studio. I would love to do this if it was in a secluded area but it can get pretty bad with my friends coming in to work.
Feeling inspired after watching this - thanks!
Great! Let us know how you go?

Great information. Can you share the Q&A as well?
